Phil Jones (who rarely plays CB for his club), Smalling, Cahill, Jagielka while John Terry sits on his sofa...

Wonder what crosses his mind when he watches England these days?

He did say some time back that he's willing to come out of retirement and play for his country put the old pricks in the FA are too proud to call him up. #bunchoftwats

Probably something like: "LMAO, those bunch of twats at the FA are so stupid!"

There you go LOL, perfect example of agent using other club to help his client get more money.

Blimey, how times change. Last time when his camp wanted to squeeze more money out of the negotiations they only had to link him to Man City - now they've got to get him to waggle his arse in front of Galatasaray to avoid a pay cut.

Sorry John. I love you but there's no way you're getting the same contract this time round.

Perhaps, Gala might. However, I believe JT is too much into Chelsea & if he can sign one more year at 100k as offered, he will take it. Since Chelsea´s policy is based on performance of late, this season JT plays well, he just may stay on for his last hurray & win another trophy.

Errrm, why? That makes very little sense. Imo, all those rumors are part of the negotiations between his agent and the club.

FA England commission member Danny Mills (on 5Live) calling for John Terry to return to the England team out of international retirement

 Can these English media and pundits get anymore pathetic and embarrassing?!

When he was still available, they can't bloody wait to get rid of him forever championing for Terry to be ditched and how Hodgson must focus on building England's future. And now, because of England's horrendous looking defence and Terry's form this season, they want him back. Absolute joke!

Was he defending him when the media witch hunt was on? If not, he can f*** right off!

for england to have 0.001% chance of getting even in the semis of WC, JT needs to get out of his retirement.

Only if he can play as a striker.

Two home matches this international break and not a single goal. In fact, did the German keeper even have to make a save tonight?

That's where I disagree.

I don't think you can blame a striker for the lack of goals or a defender for conceding goals; it's all connected. The quality of every player on the pitch contributes to how well you play and scoring is just a consequence of that.

A player like Terry would make the team better period.

That sounds like talksport pundits :D

Putting Terry on isnt going to score us goals consistently. Chile, and Germany, were on the back foot plenty of times. It was a lack of quality in the final third on display.

Think the more accurate description of England would be there is a distinct lack of quality throughout the team.

So, playing Terry wouldn't increase the overall quality of the team? I know it's not going to be enough, but it would certainly be an improvement.

Better defenders can intercept the ball high up the pitch, and then help keep possession. He can also set up an attack with a quick pass afterwards.

Lesser defenders will mostly produce blocks and clearances, but aren't so great regaining the football and with possession which hurts the team.

Rooney seems to have a hard time scoring only when playing for England... Sturridge too. Wilshere plays better for Arsenal. And so on...

What England, and most pundits don't get is that your mediocre players will be found at this level. The opposition will always go for the weak link (s).

he actually said playing Terry would make us( England ) a better team ... I think that can't be disputed ,, In terms of goals he would

probably also be our best hope from corners ...

would he give us a chance of winning the WC LMAO but we might just scrape out of our group with him and a favourable draw

having strikers like sturridge and rooney would be good enough if they actually got anything/something from the mid.

when your wingers are townsend/welbeck/lallana compared to muller/schurlle/ozil u know where the problem is. same goes for cleverly. but since england dont have any midfielders to make a significant difference, the only place england can shore up is its defence.

If Terry did play... otherwise, none of them is world class.

You can make the world class case for some of the midfielders, attackers, but not the defenders IMO.

to be honest, the midfielders than england HAVE currently are no where near world class. lampard and gerrard are past it.

baines/cole and walker/johnson are decent full backs. phile jones/GC/jagielka can make for a decent no.2. what england need is JT's leadership and defensive awesomeness. he might not be THE answer to all of england's problems but would definitely improve them greatly.
