the wes 7,212
JOHN TERRY is the next big Manchester City transfer target. </h2> They will offer £40million for the Chelsea skipper — and are convinced he wants to become City's new captain. Boss Mark Hughes told owner Sheikh Mansour when he took over that his dream buys would be Kaka to create, Robinho to score and Terry to organise the defence and lead the team. And though Chelsea are still in the Champions League and title race, City will try to get Terry during the transfer window. Hughes is also hunting Craig Bellamy, Scott Parker, Roque Santa Cruz and Hamburg's Dutch midfielder Nigel de Jong. http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/sport...icle2141763.ece Edited January 17, 2009 by the wes

chrismada9 1,948
The Sheikh's wanted list... - Kaka - John Terry - Steven Gerrard - Cristiano Ronaldo - David Villa - Cesc Fabregas - Gianluigi Buffon - Wayne Rooney - Jose Mourinho - Tom Cruise - Will Smith - Woody Allen - Sean Connery - The Jonas Brothers Seriously man, why don't they just offer £500 million to each of the people listed to come and play for Manchester City. Since £500 million is like 1p to them!
Ollie 4,400
Mourinho will be the manager soon tho i bet and he'll attract many of those players anyway. JT going to man city....theres no point even replying to that part. They can have Drogba, Malouda, Deco, Ballack, Joe Cole, Anelka, Alex, Cudicini, Belletti and Ferriera tho if they please

And Mark Hughes figured this all out in 5 minutes after the Sheikh took over on the last day of the transfer window? And didnt they try sign Berbatov as well to score the goals? Journos = Wankers!!! the wes 7,212
Chelsea Football Club and John Terry have released a joint statement. Following renewed media reports, Chelsea can confirm it received an enquiry from Manchester City late last year for John Terry. This was rejected immediately. Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon said: 'We made it very clear that John was not for sale. We did not entertain any further conversation on the subject and nor will we in the future. John is our captain and the captain of England. He is part of the heart and soul of Chelsea.' John Terry added: 'Chelsea told me what had happened with the enquiry as a courtesy. I was very happy with their reaction as mine would have been the same. I have always said that I want to end my career at the club which I love and we all see no reason why that cannot happen. 'Given recent events I am more determined than ever to make Chelsea
the wes 7,212
WILLIAM HILL make John Terry 1/3 still to be a Chelsea player on the first day of next season following stories suggesting that he may be looking to move away from Stamford Bridge - and they make him a 9/2 chance to join Manchester City. 'These kind of stories often appear around about the time a player is contemplating asking for a wage rise at his current club' said Hill's spokesman Graham Sharpe, 'But should Terry genuinely want to move there will be no shortage of possible takers both here and abroad.' Hills make Hiddink 8/13 favourite to be Chelsea boss on the first day of next season and also offer 7/2 Ancelotti; 11/2 Rijkarrd; 8 Zola; 10 Mancini; Mourinho. warnie_666 1,081
Was watching sunday supplement on Skysports. They were talking about JT and Manc City's bid for him. Some Valid points why we should sell JT: 1.) He has past his peak. He isnt the same player he was few yrs back. 2.) Injury prone. His body has taken a lot of battering. 3.) Chelsea need money and rumours are that JT can break the transfer record set by Jap Stam. 4.) We can blood Mancienne into JT's role. Some Valid points why we should not sell him: 1.) a 70% fit JT is better than a 100% fit new defender. 2.) Leader through and through. One who drives the team. We dont have anyone like him at the club. 3.) Chelsea through and through. He is the image of the club. Your thoughts......
We Hate Scouse 10,326
As much as I would hate to see him go we could get £60 million of City. We can get a decent replacement with that as well as money for other players. He won't go though, he loves the club, as he has stated many times. Laylabelle 9,535
No!! He may not be the same player but he plays with his heart on his sleeves which seems to make up for the ones that dont.As said leader through and through. That and he wants to manage us someday...commitment!! And beside he aint gana go City they're doing nothing.Trying to kid themselves they can challenge for things but seriously they cant.Im sorry they apprantly were thinking according to some paper of a 20m bid?!Insult! Ok its the paper talk but still And dont want Man City to become the old Chels..they've already got two of our players they dont need another Edited February 19, 2009 by Laylabelle
