Where is the line drawed on that though? is it racist if for example I was living in india/africa and I was called a white cunt? as in their country I would be in the minority, or is it minority on a worldwide scale? or can it go down to communitys? another example if I was in southall, and I was called a white cunt by a group of asian youths would that not be racist? as in that area of our country I would be in a minority to another race/creed.

With racism surely its a level playing field or why bother? its stupid to say only certain races can be affected by racism, the minoritys amongst the majority seemingly have a kind of victim mentality, its almost like a subconscious instinct if you like you feel like your being discriminated against because your different to the masses, and its not just in a traditional sense (black minority within a white majority) it works the otherway too, I feel the same way in my head when I do work in a prominently black/asian area as id imagine the opposites would in the opposite situation, racism is basically self-perpetuating due to peoples pre concivied notions that the other race doesnt like you.

OK. Is it racist in India and Africa for you to be called a white cunt ? Well that would come under the laws and jurisdiction of those partcular territories. Each country has their own laws including England. You need to do some research.

The Southall one is interesting and has changed. In the 70s and 80s it would not have been considered racist -now all ethnicities can be victims of racism and hate crimes due to English society being multi-cultural.

Where I work it is like a microcosm of the UK and the organisation tries to gloss over the racism that is smouldering. Not only white over black, but by far the biggest problem is Indian racism against black and Afro-Carribean. Amongst that you have Hindus giving disfavourable treatment to Muslims. Indigenous whites resenting Poles. Africans hating Afro-Carribeans. Its a fucking nightmare trying to sort it out.

Like I said, in this day and age we are all equal. What happened in the past shouldnt dictate what happens in the present because it only creates differences. If Anton hadnt been playing victim, he wouldnt have been subject to those racist chants by Chelsea fans and racist remarks and death threats on twitter.

Nice romantic view that we are all equal. Funny how the majority of the millions killed by US foreign policy since WW2 are black or brown though.

There were no explicit racist chants by Chelsea fans

Anton has not been playing victim, he simply has not said anything and he is within his right to do that in the event of an investigation. If you make a negative comment about someones skin colour then you have to expect a negative reaction because of all the history and in many cases the present too. Chelsea fans have not been found to have made racist chants so i would be careful if i was you. The racist remarks on Twitter could be anyone, i could make an account today and start throwing racist abuse at Anton, i just think its opposition fans who are trying to stir things up.

EXCLUSIVE: Police want to charge Terry

Police say there is enough proof to charge England captain John Terry over his alleged racist rant.

If he is charged then he will have to face trial and proved to be guilty in a court of law. Any punishment could only be given after this...

He wont appear in court, he will be represented, and it will be a fine.

More importantly its the undermining, and the stigma, the repercussions with team mates.Still, the media got their pound of flesh

Plus the FA and the football club will be under huge pressure to dish out thier own punishments to please the said media(I can just imagine what that wanker Ian Wright would say in the current bun). I would imagine it will be the end of his international career if found guilty in court - given his age. I wonder though what the club would do??

As Blatter's apology emerged, his South African FIFA pal Tokyo Sexwale held a press conference calling for Terry – who is being probed for alleged racist abuse – to be AXED as England captain.

He said it was "not helpful" that Terry had not been stripped of the armband during the investigation.

End of England captaincy probably. I imagine the club will publicly decry racism, again fine him, but they should privately back him, given all the corporate PR hes done for them

This is getting ridiculous. Ferdinand wouldn't have complained of anything if this video wouldn't have been on youtube, for the plain reason Terry didn't say him anything bad. Afterward, QPR has just used this video to turn away media's attention from their (more than) suspicious win. That's that.

I still think that JT didn't do it.

He may or may not have said anything, at least not with racist intent, but that won't prevent him being branded....

I just hope his own team-mates continue to stand by him despite this nonsense.

Yeah, but you'll never know what the club might do if its own image was at risk...

Its so ridiculous that this situation was ever allowed to escalate like this. I just hope JT has some damn good lawyers to counter these charges, or at least give the court a reason to go easy with the penalties...
