Radamel Falcao

1- Terry is a good defender, but not a top class.

2- Cole is far from being the bert LB in the world, even when he is on his days, in fact hes been playing bad since last season, He is Chelsea's best LB, thats different.

3- Mata is not the best play maker in the league.

In fact right we dont have players to win game on their own, like Drogba. You that kind of player that can score a goal even when you just create one single chance in 90 minutes? Remember Barcelona and Bayern's game?

Sorry, but Mata, Oscar and Hazard are not these players yet. In fact the team has to create 15 chances to score a single goal. I understand you concerns about the money and that kind of stuff. Falcao is the kind of striker that plays good for 5 years at least, like Nilsterooy for Manchester, Shevchenko for Milan. Buy Falcao now, and no striker will be needed in next 5 years.

And listen, Falcao is not a gamble.

not in January. not for 48million. as i've repeated myself several times in this thread, it is not economically plausible

also, if we get falcao - no midfielder or replacement for sturridge because it would cost further more.

i'd wait till the summer before thinking of Falcao or Cavani

^^^ I kinda agree with Henrique, you need a balance In a team, young but some experienced heads and proven winners, Falcao and some big name prime age players can do this...

I don't think our team lack balls, just sometimes we are a bit too pussyfied!

Torres spending 89 of the 90 rolling on the floor doesn't help, we need a 'hard man' up front, who can bully defenders and take the physical shit... ;)

You think the price will drop in the summer? It could go up! PSG, CITY, REAL etc... will all be potentially bidding in the summer not ideal for a team that could be out of the Champs league by then

His price cannot go up. Only thing is some team can offer to give him 250k wages or something like that.

And we won't be out of CL if we just get a decent striker, we're third despite starting Torres in every game so far..

That's what I mean. Wages.

So you're saying by two strikers by next year? while still keeping Torres? what about Lukaku he should be back next year no?

He still has a few years left on his contract, and that contract has a release fee clause of €60M. It can't go up unless he signs a new contract.

EDIT: Nevermind. Just saw you were talking about wages.

Sturridge will leave in January so we're only left with Torres. We need to add someone and they're various cheap, decent options out there to rotate with him.

The chances of getting Falcao in January are slim, Balague who i think is pretty reliable said so also.

Oh and i don't think about Lukaku, we shouldn't have bought him.

With no balls? Really Henrique? How old are you actually? Dare to answer? 'Cause you whine over players like my grandmother :wank2::wank2::wank2::wank2:

His own age doesn't matter one bit. It's a well known fact that you only win trophies with a squad full of teenagers in Football Manager, not in real life. It's great that we have all these young stars in our team and I can only imagine how good they'll be within five years but to balance things out we need players who are at their peak and have more experience, for example Falcao. People who say Falcao is too old at the age of 26/27 have played way too much FM and Fifa. For example, does anyone consider Manchester United to have done bad business in buying Robin Van Persie who is 29 years old?

Henrique was not trying to bash Hazard, Oscar etc. but he only meant that in addition to those we need experienced players with leadership skills.

Balague is the furthest thing from reliable.

Also if we're to buy a cheaper striker now and go big in the summer for Falcao what's the difference? Whether we go big now or later the difference is we could be less attractive in the summer. It can only get more expensive in the summer...

I didn't even say we should add Falcao in the summer because i'm starting to think he won't end up here. It always happens with Chelsea, with the exception of Hazard.

Anyway according to the media, it is the summer that is most likely for him to leave, after helping Atleti get a CL place - so it makes more sense to wait for then, no?

I agree!!!

But, didn't we all also agree about the fact this was going to be a transition year? No? Did I miss something that said we were to be super champions again the next year? Everyone seemed to know we would have a transition year this summer (see the posts - even of the forementioned persons) and there was general consensus that this is hard. I agree we need experienced players to win things, but -policy like - we are choosing the route of youngsters: Hazard, Oscar, KDB, .... the whole academy! Finally cause we sucked on that ( see the comments on our results academy-wise!

Leadership is showing the managerial courage to make this decision and NOT go in with the short term 'Henrique strategy'. I understand Henrique - he seems to want to win stuff, and we al do. But I fear this strategy will never give us a long term strategy. His strategy could be a good one, but it is not a Chelsea one if you ask Roman. Also, a lot of people know we need to change demographics in our team. I hate seeing Lamps trashed by some on the forum like this. I want a team where Legends do get to grow old and where future stars DO get a real chance to flourish!! This is what makes ke proud, not just a cup trophy. I know this is my view, not the view of others.

Also, some who thinks only the 28-31 year old real performers are 'Chelsea Material' have no soul for me. No Offense, this is my view ..... :clown:
