Why buy him?

He's the same case as Torres, coming of a major injury and might force himself into the world cup hurting himself even more.....

stop comparing him to Torres! yes the situation is some what similar but Falcao is a very different player to Torres! Falcao doesn't rely on explosive acceleration and pace like Torres did, Falcao has more to his game and is much better technically then Torres ever was.

Ronaldo suffered a horrible injury and when he came back he lost some pace and explosiveness but he never solely relied on his pace like Torres did so he was able to comeback and still have a great career after his terrible injury! I believe that is how Falcao will be, he will comeback and still be a class and clinical finisher.

Hmmm if that's true then people should have known that before buying Torres. That such injuries would have done that. But nobody knew. Similar here, nobody knows so why take the risk?

And to be fair, for 25 million is not a bad risk as it was for 50....

With that sort of injury caution has to play a part, he's been out a long time now, so much so it's as if articles read that he is being 'rushed back for the WC' rather than the timing being perfect. Any element of doubt from the medical staff then he shouldn't be risked, life goes on after the WC and that is the big key point. Any wrong decision can end his career in seconds, and that goes for anyone.

Look no further than Essien in how a career can just nose-dive after a big injury.

I agree, That's the thing if he is rushed back, he may never fully recover. but if he comes back and has a good World Cup I think he will have a very successful career! thats what i said earlier if he does well at the World Cup i can see us definitely bidding for him.

£25m is a very decent price.

I was very against Falcao, partly due to his supposed transfer fee (£50m+) but for £25m it wouldn't be a bad signing. Still risky though.

25 £ mil??? Seriously? Whetr did this quote come from. Sign him up if that's true.

Can somebody update me on Falcaos current condition. Didn't he break his leg and would that not be a serious worry to wether he will come back as the same player??

First of all I'm not on board with this.

If Falcao comes back and has a good WC he won't be sold for 25M you can bank on that

Anterior cruciate ligament mate.

Can that be a career changing injury .. like is there a strong possibility he won't be the Falcao from before because if it's an iniury yhay players usualy recover from with no major implications.. I'd say buy him!

Any transfer is a risk IMO, but on top of an injury like that it's a massive risk.

Hard to tell whether he will the player of old we just have to wait and see and the WC is a good starting point. I'd say be very careful and wait and see exactly how he fairs come Brazil.

Its the injury that changed Essiens career if I remember correctly?

Also Falcao had a sort of rushed treatment so that he could make the world cup, its risker as it can lead to further implications later in his career. Walcott didn't rush his recovery for this very reason.

I don't know specifics and this is all from memory so it may not be exact but I think you get the jist of it :)

25m fee only reported by DailyStar and everyone is running on this rumour now sigh

Why would Monaco sell him for 25? It's ridiculous.. They paid like 60M last year. Despite of his injury Falcao is still the biggest star of the team, a player who can tempt new supporters and players and probably people buy his jersey.
