He can't be a poor man's Van Persie when he is a completely different type of player...He is more like a Van Nistelrooy.

I was just refering to their similar movement in the box and the fact they are both dutch. Van nisterooy too is right there.

Seriously people, goal.com?, do anybody even bother reading the sticky with reliable and unreliable sites?....I guess since goal is allowed, I can post tribalfootball.com next, we can also go as low as those fake facebook profiles if we are scrapping that badly for any transfer news...

And before people start saying, "if you think its unreliable don't bother reading it", first there are rules for a reason and what would we be without one..Secondly, this forum has built a reputation (in my eyes at least) for calling out and not posting every low life attention seeker that comes up with a transfer rumor...I know the last transfer window saw a spike in twitter and agent crap sources, but I honestly thought the mods learnt from the false expectation and sometimes pointless arguments it stirs up and crack down on the bogus links with sources made from their a**es.

I honestly wish we could get back to how it used to be, when if I see a link on here on a potential transfer I know its from a reliable source...That's just my two cents

P.S we can always talk about a potential transfer without encouraging disgrace to journalism..

We need this guy in the next transfer window...regardless of whether goal.com is full of shit, we need this guy.. we have no strikers and that's not good enough, we won't win anything without a striker...almost 2 years nino and failed to perform as a world class striker...bye bye.

OMG Falcao would be amazing!! OMG OMG

He wont be able to play in the Champions League for us if we bought him in January tho.. So i say we keep Torres and Falcao (if we get him in January) till the end of this season and then look to sell Torres and give El Tigre the #9 shirt .... I just hope he comes !

You're wrong, he would be able to play in the CL, same as Torres in 2010/2011.

Alright let's be realistic, we will not sign Falcao, or any major signing for that matter, in Jan due to the inflated prices.

I don't think Atletico would let him leave in January.

I wouldn't mind Chelsea signing this guy in January (for the right price):

Ridiculous reasoing. The only reason we may not sign him in Jan would be due to footballing reasns (they want him until the end of the season). There's simply a buyout which is to be met (Chelsea may try to negotiate but it will be in vain). Atletico desperetely need the money and wont budge with the price.

The prices are always inflated i Jan because the clubs don't want to sell and the buyers are desperate and the window is too small so everything is rushed. In the summer, on the other hand, we can get a price which much lower than the 'alleged' buyout clause. We can't afford to spend beyond reason anymore, we have the FFP to worry about.
