Radamel Falcao

It's not an easy one to answer. I believe we can get the best out of him with a system like the current 4231 with added quality on the flanks (maybe with Hulk). I'd give him those 6 months till Jan, half a season where he can truly operate as our main man without living in the Drog's shadow.

A semi-experienced understudy would definitely be required then, not of the Falcao calibre. Thinking of another Letico forward, Adrian.

What about Sturridge and Lukaku? I think between the three of them there's just enough goals to get us through to January in a position to still be competing for trophies. If needed, we could buy Falcao then.

Lukaku would be on loan, presumably and I don't think any manager will take a punt on Sturridge. Falcao in January won't happen. Letico will still be in the Champions League and will not lose their main striker and star in mid-season, there will be no replacement.

Yea, winners of the Europa get automatic entry to the Champions League. Whether its in the qualifying rounds or group stages, I'm unsure.

Yeah, that's actually not true. They get automatic entry to the Europa League next year.

That is not true, Europa winners don't get automatic entry to the Champions League.

OT: Falcao should only arrive if Torres is leaving and i don't see that happening, it seems like Falcao is on the move anyway because Alti are looking at a few strikers.

Oh seriously?! I thought that'd be quite logical, ah well, I stand corrected :tophat:

To be fair I've been thinking they should implement this for a while now. Would give teams a lot more incentive to win the damn thing.

"An exchange with Chelsea for Torres? That is not true. Those rumours have been invented for the papers," he told Colombian radio station Caracol.

"We have not received any concrete offers for Falcao.

"Now is the time for the rumours but if a bid arrives then it is normal to study any proposition.

"Falcao has four years left on his Atletico contract and we are calm."

"There are always snakes in summer and by August will see thousands who will be talking all the time like this," the Rojiblancos supremo told Caracol Radio.

"Falcao is under contract for four more years with Atletico Madrid, and at this time [of year] there are always offers.

"Football in Europe moves very quickly, so if there are bids, they will be studied; if not, then nothing."

Cerezo moved to reassure Atletico fans by adding that the club are hoping to hang on to a forward that he holds in the highest esteem.

"Unquestionably, we must recognize that [barcelona's] Lionel Messi is one of the best players in the world, if not number one, but that does not mean that Falcao is within the top five,
