chrismada9 1,948
Let's just imagine that if we do go with 2 uptop Costa and Falcao... that they hit it off and are at their best.... IncredibleOnly time will tell!

DoubleO 192
I just don't understand why Jose seems to be wanting him so bad in his side. He was absolutely terrible at United. Another Torres in the making if we sign him
ulsterchelsea 3,221
Wait and see all the changes of heart if he plays well in Copa America. Same people wet their beds when Costa had a poor world cup

Pizy 18,916
In terms of skill set and injury situation I can understand the Torres comparison. This situation however cannot be compared at all. Torres was meant to be our flashy, talismanic, face-of-the-club signing. Falcao wouldn't have any of that expectation and would be a backup. High reward potential? Yes. Is it truly high risk? Not really because he isn't going to cost £30, 40, or 50m and it wouldn't be a disaster if he flopped again. Falcao has a repeat of his United season? Sucks, but oh well. Costa and Remy are still there and we can flog him off if need be.

Sidzeret 2,257
Definitely an upgrade over Remy and we just can't let go of this opportunity. Remember Wenger let Fabtegas go because he had fucking Ozil.Obv he did have a terrible season and pretty sure he'll be back to his best with our midfield outlet. We don't want City or Arsenal a to sign him and watch him knock in 25+ goals next season.
DYC. 7,542
When AVB joined.Any links? I know Falcao's been linked forever but I don't remember the club turning him down. Torres was signed in the winter of 2011, AVB joined in the summer. Signing Falcao wouldn't have made sense.

Because Falcao would score 25+ goals here with Costa here? Unless you're suggesting Falcao would displace Costa in the starting line-up. Unionjack 7,531
3 maybe 2 years ago I'd have offered my left dangley for him but all Im seeing now is another Torres. Just like him hes not been right since his injury.. Plus with him getting older these injuries are going to get more often. If you look at him with a negative eye I wouldnt want to sign him. Theres got to be a younger fitter striker that also scores more goals we could sign who would want to push Costa for number 1.The only way to get Falcaos form back is regular playing time and a team built round him with a manager, team, fans that want him and believe in him. And with his time ant United being so crap its going to be difficult to sway Chelsea supporters IF we do sign him IMHO.

Falcao is a goal poacher but outside of that, he offers very little in buildup plays and that is something you can't say about Remy. He scores goals and links up with others in creating goals. It's almost criminal how Remy is underrated by some here.
Azul 1,615
If he takes a paycut then I have no problem with this signing. If he can find his form then this would be the signing of the season for sure, 4-4-2 with him and Costa upfront would be a force.

Jase 43,479
Yeah probably but we would stomp midtable teams with that line-up.Doubt it. Most teams, if not all, play with 3 in midfield and if we don't have enough of the ball in that area, we won't create enough goalscoring chances to actually score. Signing a player for 50 mil is a major investment, so you allow him some time to perform.
