KonohasOrangeFlash 2,607
What you mean 'thats his level'? If he can score goals playing for Liverpool he can score more playin for a team like chelsea/city/arsenal etc. I guess this is the case then for any prolific championship striker? Exactly. That's what I mean by 'his level'. Liverpool severely lack goals. We've been getting by. Any one who scores goals there will look like Falcao due to the lack of goals at Livershite. Who else will score goals apart from him, Suarez or maybe Gerrard?
Blue Armour 4,439
And I bet you are one of those Torres-huggers aswell.Pathetic. Torres didnt have to win shit with Liverpool, he still screwed us.Anyway, imma leave this discussion now, but just remember who said itMate leave it...being overly upset about it isn't going to change Sturridge's decision. With regards to Falcao, if the transfer fee for him is going to be as large as speculated, I'd rather we wait till the summer and get someone like Cavani instead for the same amount. For that kind of money I'd want a player who's more than just a goal scorer.

I don't care who we get so long as the player is clinical and proven, Cavani or Falcao fit the bill.

I would love to have a new striker in Jan, but its unlikely Napoli will accept an offer midway through the season. I doubt Athletico will either... considering their position in the Liga BBVA table. joshmercury 20
Ever since the Falcao rumors started surfacing, I was quite sure they were all media driven BS, I thought our board after Shevchenko and Torres would never throw cash again in Jan, guess I was/ am wrong. I was naive enough to not understand that FFP is a mythical entity and was never to going to materialize. So now we are sure almost to get falcao, there are several qns I want to ask board (I know they wont see this but anyway )1. Is falcao really worth 50m? (tradeoff b/w goal scoring record and age)2. Is'nt Atletico's style of play better suited to him, can it be matched with Chelsea?(was focal point of attack, personally think goal tally is slightly exaggerating his abilities)2. Will it not be wiser to spend 50m on a CM and sT instead of falcao?3. Will falcao succeed in England?4. As a Jan signing would he not require time to adapt?5. Would we buy him if he had'nt scored the hatrick against us?(torres)The last qnIf are to buy him now why the hell din't we buy him in the summer for pretty much same price. Would have had preseason and could have helped us challenge for the title. If we are buying because we thought torres, sturridge would be sufficient but torres turned to shit, then why did we sell sturridge instead of torres.6. My last qn if falcao is a replacement for sturridge why dint the swap happen in summer?

Sheva. 5,373
If we meet the buyout it won't matter what the clubs think. It's not that simple. A lot of players have release clauses but still haven't moved, because a club can't just go around meeting clauses when the player has no desire to move. As for Falcao, i think he already said he would like to stay at Altetico till the end of the season, so if he was approached - he would tell the buying club the same and they will have no choice but to wait. Yup I know but NUFC were trying to offer BA a new contract and he isn't accepting, so he wants the clause in there.I wouldn't expect Falcao to say anything different, but how many times have football fans heard those old chestnuts only to find the player leaves anyway

BlueLyon 9,359
Anyone else heard that ateleti will make a move for portos rodriguez? Ain't they skint? wonder how they could finance that?Well they will probably sell Turan for 20mio at least and Falcao for 50. The money will be there to buy James for 30 and sell him for 50 later to barca or Rm...

cadenza666 221
read that article in the times , guess they picked it up from there.Falcao is too important to Atletico this season. why would Atletico sell now even if someone meets the release clause when they can easily get his release clause matched in summer. he is too valuable to their league position and them achieving Champions League spot next season which will bring them tons of revenue...they achieve CL spot then sell in summer, why would they derail the campaign. anyways falcao looks committed by the quotes till atleast summerHave you seen it? i dont know the source or if its realy a new interview:ChelsTransferGossip@ChelsTransferFalcao: “This season for me is very important.
