Im pretty sure it wasnt the reason. Everyone who watched Cuadrado in Italy or Colombia 2-3 times can tell you his ball control is far far away from Hazard's and even Willian's. Imo the reason we got him was his explosiveness and pace on the right wing.

He lost the ball so much that he then went into a shell and just passed it backwards a bunch and made the safe, short pass. You could tell that he wanted to stop embarrassing himself. He's overthinking everything right now.

It is hard not to getting carried away a little bit last night, mine too included. But come to think about it, despite his price tag which happened to be quite expensive, because Fiorentina won't sell him in the first place, not sure it is his buy out clause or something, I couldn't say I believe in Cuadrado ability or something, because I haven't seen him playing regularly, but I want to believe in Jose. Therefore I believe in his choice. I will give this man a chance to prove it next season. It will be 'too harsh' to judge him this season, because he is still struggling to adapt of new life.

His confidence levels look bad.....I mean Torres of 2011 bad! He's obviously trying hard by tracking back even into inside our box, but give the ball away or make a simple backwards pass to the RB every single time is just terrible at any level.

I thought ozil and Neymar were the physically weakest players I've seen but cuadrado is even worse. He can't dive like Neymar in the EPL so beefing up is the only option

I was really excited when I saw him preparing to shoot from distance (around min 76) but then just passed it wide. It's obviously a mental problem, he is a little too cautious but I think he will improve soon. One thing he really needs to work on is his strength, Willian and Eden are also small but strong.

Then he almost scored the goal but was unlucky, I was really hoping to see him dance with Drogba, haha. Hope to see that this season.

I think everyone needs to calm down. Stoke are probably the most physical team in the league, and Cuadrado is not used to English football yet. In Italy nearly all the times he went over would have resulted in a free kick and probably a yellow for the opposition. He's probably a little nervous but when he was dribbling down the right and attempting dummies I saw glimpses of why we brought the kid. Tbh, while he was never better than Salah, he has different qualities which I reckon we'll only see from next season.

The one thing that is most dissapointing to me is that he is supposed to be a guy who never stops running but i have counted numerous of times where he took his sweet time running back and helping out the defense when we loose possession.

If he would have at least a good workrate like Willian we would be able to give him some games to try and fit in, but right now he offers next to nothing and you can't give him game time because of it.
