Juan Cuadrado

Like Jake and Styles have mentioned above, not going to pass judgment on Cuadrado just yet. But apart from the Everton game, he hasn't really done anything useful to suggest that he would be a key player for us. Underwhelming so far to say the least.

The fuck is going on with Cuadrado? He looked like lost kid in supermarket.

I dont want to say that, I in fact never write off anyone, but Cuadrado seems to be good player who plays in absolutely wrong league. He got bullied every damn time (its stoke, but still) and couldnt keep the ball anyhow. When he recieved ball and lost it imeddiately, forcing Iva to run and chase the ball...boy I was pissed. You dont need 10 games to do something out of that situation, but Cuadrado just stood there for stoke player to take the ball. He had 30 minutes and seemed to move away from the ball instead of trying to impact the game and show his skills. His dribbling was absolute crap too, his confidence is below zero I believe.

But in the end, he is 26, he is proven top player who we paid alot of money for. He isnt young like Schurrle or Salah to say he needs time etc. He is prime player who needs to give at least some kind of impact. I dont expect him to play like Hazard, but at least perform on level of Navas ffs.

I cant believe people still talk about he needs games, he needs time to adopt etc. Why Sanchez, Hazard, Costa etc didnt need time to adopt then? Its just excuse to make 25m player look less a flop so far, because honestly thats what he is right now.

Now if he gets 30minutes and performs like shit, why should he get a full game or even more in row? Its obvious he wont get that and if thats only way for him to succeed here, then he will never make it.

But I think the league just doesnt suit him, he was unbelievably fragile and unbalanced in most games for us, while we need to add some power to wings.

Its early, but from what I saw he isnt what he was supposed to be, at age 26 either you make it or break it, you dont need whole season and time to show what you got.

But also he lost all the confidence too, either big thanks to Mou or he is just another one who cant take it to the next level...

I'm not convinced he is garbage just yet. But his performances have been lacklustre especially considering his price tag. I don't know what others expect but when a player gets bought by a club with an immense price tag I expect at least some sort of offensive production. He was brought to replace and underperforming player only to play even worse.

I'm gonna give him till the 10th game of next season. He needs a proper run in the squad for sure.

After today I was thinking the same. Having said that its way too early to write him off, he's obviously not settled yet.

And people where moaning about Willian's pricetag... (wich is still a tad too much). But it looks like we really got robbed on this one, Hope he surprises me because we don't need passengers at this stage of the season (looking at Oscar too).

This guy makes Oscar look like Zidane. I know he's still not fully acclimatized to the league, and he will come good next season, but that was a scandalously poor display. Mourinho has a problem. Poor first teamers like Oscar. Even worse subs.

IMO, he certainly screwed up our attacking options by letting 2 players leave in Janury and only buying 1 in. At the moment, we have the three main ones and one who has zero clue about the Premier League. That's it.

Thankfully we are 99% winning the league, we will rectify this by signing Koke for CAM or Sterling for RW and moving Willian to the middle next season.

I think I'm the only one that liked his performance. Always trying something different, without fear, helping in defense, almost one goal. For his second fair chance after the Everton game I think he did well and clearly should be in the starting eleven in the next games.

He is a player that doesn't hide behind the team, and that can produce good performances consistently. I hope he starts the next games.

Juan was hopeless again today, which will make what I'm about to write seem more than a little odd...

I was actually quite encouraged by his display against Stoke. Encouraged because, for the first time since he joined, I saw a glimmer of hope. The hope came from the fact that it looked like Cuadrado hasn't acclimatised to the pace of the Premier League. Every time he had settled possession, he wanted far too much time on the ball. If that's his problem then there is at least hope he might be cured, whereas, if the diagnosis is a lack of talent, there can be no cure and the disease would be terminal.

I think Cuadrado can give something different to the team. Yes, he doesn't look good on the ball, but I think he needs time to adjust to the physicality of the PL.On the other hand he makes runs behind the deffence, which nobody else does. Give the lad some time! I hope it works out after we spent so much on him!

I'm not one to normally bash people - but seriously...

Give this lad some time!!!!!

The arguments on why he's shit are coming from those comparing him to KdB, Salah etc...

Yes, they didn't get time - and have now moved on - forget about it!!!

Whereas this dude is our player - let's give him a pre-season and then judge

The irony is not lost on me :)
