MrBlueGuy 1,552
What people don't realize is that SIGNING SOMEONE LIKE REUS MIGHT HINDER US. Yep incredible I know but if you think about it, it all makes sense. Just because we sign him doesn't mean we will be automatically adding 20 more goals to our goal tally. In situations where he would usually pass/cross for Costa...etc he might shoot himself. It has always been every football fan's dream to have a dream 11, but this isn't accurate in real life. Look at Bale, Isco, James...etc hardly contributing goals directly themselves because Ronaldo demands everyone to focus and pass to him. Same with Barcelona, Suarez already being labeled a early flop by many impatience fans, in theory Barcelona should have been well on their way to more than 60 goals already with the attacking talents they have.So be careful what you wish for, sometime having a all star 11 doesn't necessarily work well. Reus pressing is good, but it is not as good as Cuadrado and Willian, hence we will be more vulnerable on that right side and Ivan is also being a bit of a liability these days making it even more dangerous for us.Will be interesting if he will be in first team instead of Willian. If he is better...obviously. If not, no I think he will be though, looks like someone who could run all day and seems faster than Willian even.
Special Juan 28,141
Will be interesting if he will be in first team instead of Willian. It may wake Willian and Schurrle up from their slumbers because both have been very average for a long while. If this is all true and comes off you can't blame Jose for reacting to a situation that has not so much troubled us but been an area with very little threat coming from it. AK-3001 286
If Mata was the Special Juan, then Cuadrado to be the Chosen Juan?
nyikolajevics 2,700
Obviously yes it is. Willian is 10 times better when compared with Moses or any other winger Chelsea had in the last years with exception of Hazard. This team had 2 years ago Oscar, Hazard, Mata, Marin, Moses and Malouda,. We will have now Cuadrado, Willian, Oscar, Hazard and Salah (in between we bought Schurrle for 5M£ less than we are going to sell him if its true what the papers are saying).Willian is very talented, sure, but Malouda had some fantastic seasons here and scoret plenty of important goals. Willian haven't showed his class yet, he needs to play much better for months to become nearly as succesful as Malouda, Kalou or Joe Cole. I have my doubts if this can happen now, doesn't seem to be throwing tantrums...etc
Gilvorak 3,734
Well, I think they're pretty similar players (good technique, high work rate, great defensive acumen, good dribblers), and I'm black as well. Does that mean I'm racist to my own kind? That comment was tongue in cheek, settle down. And that's such a lazy summary. In that case Sanchez and Willian are also similar players. Sanchez is a goal scorer, Willian and Cuadrado are not.

MrBlueGuy 1,552
Messi and Ronaldo both scored 50+ goals every year so they are similar if you like going by stats...Cuadrado is more daring than Willian, sometime he tries to dribble past too many players and lose the ball. Willian always play the safe option once he got into near the box and looks for support from Ivan, Fab...etc immediately. Sanchez is more like Cuadrado but he likes to get into the box and in position to score instead of just dribbling on the side and looks for team mates. The Skipper 20,609
Just because they all run around a lot doens't mean the overly similar. What makes them so dissimilar then (Willian & Cuadrado)?
Spike 12,049
What makes them so dissimilar then (Willian & Cuadrado)? Because they are different people, you facist.

Rekin 835
What makes them so dissimilar then (Willian & Cuadrado)? The directness? One has end product and the other doesnt.Willian is rarely dangerous in the box, while Cuadrado is good at causing problems there. They share qualities going back, but moving forward I find them very different.
Becks 12
What makes them so dissimilar then (Willian & Cuadrado)? Cuadrado likes to dribble past his marker and shoots more often unlike Willian who isn't so direct and prefers a safe pass to retain possession. Supermonkey92 1,428
Willian and cuadrado will both play together in the CL. They can actually compliment each other in the big games.
Reddish-Blue 2,506
What makes them so dissimilar then (Willian & Cuadrado)? Cuadrado's direct style of play is the major differenceWillian lacks the cutting edge offensively whenever I see him shoot, it doesn't look natural, it looks forced
ayoub costa 19
Cuadrado is the best option we could have gotten in this window.for me his very good player .cuarado is not like willian .his style isdirect not like willian wait for support from his mates .cuadrado better than willian in driblling .his more Positive in attaque .I'm sureHe will succeed

oldportblue 547
according to the rumors/reports, is there a chance we sign both douglas costa and cuadrado or are we looking to sign one or the other? i guess if both salah and schurrle leave it would make sense to get both.that would be quite an upgrade actually: cuadrado for an underperforming schurrle (although i like him, i think he may want to leave and there are reportedly offers for him) and douglas costa for a very poor player (imo, don't get your panties in a twist) in salah... The Chels 2,502
If him signing means Ivanovic stops acting as a winger or is replaced at RB by Azpi (wishful thinking) then I guess it wouldn't be too bad.
