LDN Blue 7,903
Let me tell you, if he comes here he will be much better than Demba Ba.But can he do it on a cold night at PSG?
LDN Blue 7,903
Bony scored 25 goals last year in all comps. And its his first season. Im sure you seen both and Remy is good poacher, but Bony is allround striker who does everything beter than Remy. If I have to pick between Remy for 10m or Bony for 20m, I would pick Bony everytime.Bony, imo, needs to keep his head firmly on the ground and have another year with the Swans. We've seen one-season-wonder strikers every season, from your Darren Bents to Demba Ba's. Such strikers often will have a great season then jump a move far too early in their progression, unable to replicate their first season form, and wonder off to a lower league, in a lower competition.Unfortunately it's the agents who runs these players now, so if his agent is more interested in a payday when Bony will be available. Viper22 2,418
Is it slightly wrong of me to be a little bit disappointed that the Drog isn't badly injured? I was hoping that it would leave us in no doubt about signing a new striker. I just have a horrible feeling that we're not going to sign another one now :/. Please let us sign Remy/Hernandez/anyone but Torres....

petre.ispirescu 4,928
I saw the interview with Jose on CTV right after the Sociedad game and he said that Drogba has a minor injury and he'll be back to full fitness in maximum one week. So I guess there's no other centre forward coming in this window.Rumours about Benatia starting to pick up though.
Tomo 21,751
Not convinced he is as good as he is being made out to be, but having said that if it comes down to gambling with Remy or persisting with Torres, only one answer.

Brilliant player, very complete for a striker. He'd be a very, very good second choice option here. He's really good.

Wanted him to sign while he was still in Vitesse as the fee would've not been excessive at that time, but we had Ba and Torres that time and signed Eto'o. Would be a great 2nd choice for sure, not sure how much Swansea values him though.

His performance vs. City in the PL last season was one of the best individual striker performances of the season. He was excellent:http://youtu.be/Rc0IDATSIww
Madmax 9,219
Is it true that Bony has a £19m release clause? I'd be all over them for that price, especially because there's no viable HG option around. Torres isn't going anywhere and with the HG situation as it is, signing Didier seems a bit pointless now. But I still feel for his career even it's better he stays at Swansea for another season, if anything it will enhance his own reputation and allow Swansea to get more money possibly. For him to move to be a second choice, if he's as good as you bill him, at this stage of his career would be a collasal mistake. That's why I make the one season wonder claim, not to doubt his talent but to bring perspective to moving too early.

Pizy 18,916
I'd rather him than Destro, tbh.Know what you get with him and cheap. It'd be like a Demba Ba-esque move but we'd be getting a more technically gifted and versatile striker.
