But he is one of the best in the world atm and usually for LB it is possible to play at top level until at least 33-35 if he looks after himself well enough. Also his game has never been based on speed so we don't have to worry about that fact. Cole could have stayed but his wages was too high and demanded 2 years deal min, I am sure Luis won't have a problem with our policy when the time comes. Tomo 21,751 Posted June 5, 2014 Share Posted June 5, 2014 In an ideal world we would sign both him and Shaw and put the latter on a loan programme akin to Courtois, but this is the real world and that is unrealistic. Looks like this and not Shaw is the deal happening and while i desperately wanted (still do really) Luke for many reasons, this won't be a bad deal at all, one of the best LBs in the world, can give us 3-4 good years, which is a long time (to put it in perspective Ivan broke into being a CFC regular only 5 years ago, feels longer right?).
