you watched a different match than me then

I thought he did a good defensive job, had a few attacking bright spots and nearly scored save for some very good goal keeping.

Although he did misplace quite a few passes. Meh. A solid 7.

until when are we going to associate "a defensive job" with oscar. he is an AM.

in attack, baba was better than him.

its time we accept that we need an upgrade, a massive upgrade instead of making excuses like "he did not have a pre-season so he had a poor season".

also, ramires can do a "defensive job". that is a massive part of his job and i remember you really dont like him. so i just find it weird that you would like an AM who cant pass or create but not a CM who cant pass or create but is actually good defensively.

what? sell the 2nd best striker in the world? our only world class player?

another world class performance from him. brilliant, keep it up...

Do we have to keep doing this? When Costa hits form again and a good goal run Pacquio will be commenting mocking you then vice versa when he has another bad run.

It gets tedious after a while.

I have said Your hero is COSTA ,,, are you punch drunk like he seems to be

no you didnt! your exact quote was.

we would be better than we are ... DONT you ever think before you shout your mouth off with BS .. check their current ratings either Opta or squwaka,, and compare with YOUR stars

so please explain what you mean by 'Your stars' are you not a Chelsea fan? yet you refer to Chelsea players as 'Your stars' as if you dont want to be associated with them!

i wont even bother when the inevitable happens, when we start functioning as a team again, and the goals start flowing for Costa, i am not obsessed with them llke they are with me

unless he gets some super-powers, he is not becoming the 2nd best striker in the world. not even close.

Since March when he got injured for me.

Drogba had ruts like this too, including a spell of no premier league goal for 7 months.

But even so Costa has been at his best in aa couple of games, West Brim, Porto and to an extent Arsenal.

I'd wager Oscar is a better attacker than Ramires any day. My point is that he was good tonight. And anyway, I'd prefer to get another striker and play 4-4-2 instead. Costa needs a partner to feed him in the box, and then he will be immense again, and the whole team needs another target in the box, Oscar is not going to win headers against a centre half 8 inches taller than him.

if costa had stayed in the box tonight, he would have had plenty of feeding. he was simple AWOL.

if oscar is a better attacker, rambo is better at defense. if oscar was good tonight, so was rambo. but that does not change the fact that both of them should be no where near our starting 11. rotation, squad players - sure, starting 11, they dont come close and it has nothing to do with how many pre-seasons oscar has had ( as suggested by a certain someone  )

true mate. costa was awesome today. if he was not on the pitch, we would have lost 10-0.

no Costa was terrible today, he missed 3 open goals and 5 easy chances put on a plate for him, if he was not on the pitch we would have won 10-0

Now that's something we can agree on - the second point, that is. Both can do a job, but we need better. Costa had to go out wide to receive the ball, consequently he was not in the box to score. I would say he needs to be benched for now, but we haven't got anybody better, so it's out of the question. Currently he is poor but to say he's a bad striker is a naive statement, we brought him in as the best striker on the market and he is capable of scoring.

i honestly never knew that a striker can be poor only when he missed open goals. a striker's link up play, hold up play, positioning, general contribution should even be looked at. i guess torres was brilliant for 90% of our games. and it gets better.
