Chelsea? 892
we need to move Oscar to the Pivot
Nike 373
Costa might not have Zlatan technique, Henry speed, Messi's agility or Adriano's rocket shot, but he strikes fear to the opposing CBs, which would allow the others to flourish. We've been missing that for years... (that includes Drogba twilight years at Chelsea). I don't think we should expect him to be prolific, but moreso hardworking and strong.Good transfer at a good price. My only concern with him is how many cards/suspensions will follow... bluephoenix 1,131
Even if he arrives, I wont get too excited, the striker history is terrible here in past few years...Lets wait and see how he does, then we will talk, get excited and shit.totally agree ! seems like its been a long time since we had a good striker consistent striker
Henrique 9,133
It would be interesting to read "liosden" and "only place to be" negativism in his topic next season, but now he plays for Spain, so we might see a different approach, after all. RoyalBlues 4,050
If Costa sign, and Torres stay, will both of them could get along together? Spanish striker rivalry. And how about our Brazilian players will react to him?

Beepu 1,714
Am I the only one who can't see this guy zapping through internet for more than, I don't know, 30 minutes a day?? I don't think anybody but himself would know, but judging from his face I'd say he spent his spare time beating up annoying little children in the streets of Madrid.Excited for this transfer I am. Few more key signings then we are good to go!

MrExcalibur100 7,124
(1) He's 25.(2) He's scored 36 goals in 44 games, already tying Drogba's highest goal-scoring record in his 8 seasons at Chelsea. Drogba wasn't even close to him at 25(3) He has the highest chance conversion in Europe among strikers.(4) Scored a very decent 20 goals in 36 games last season when Falcao was the main striker, so hardly a one season wonder as some ignorant people paint him out to be. 10 goals in 15 league games in his brief spell at Rayo Vallacano 3 seasons ago. So he has 66 goals in 110 games in his last 3 seasons . Putting that in context, Suarez has 65 goals in 102 games. Costa is a one season wonder? No, he's not. (5) Chelsea fans are apprehensive because our two biggest striker signings, Torres and Sheva flopped(6) I'm extremely delighted because we've signed one of the best strikers in Europe who isn't even at his prime yet. quickpassnmove 924
i feel that costa may be new torres with the current MIDfielders ..exactly. chelsea can still be constipated as an old man with only Matic as the true center midfielder (unless Oscar and vanGinkel become good CMs). Chelsea still need a couple of top CMs who can pass and move quickly.no more slow chelsea build-up play, please. the never-ending plague of slow attacks better NOT continue with Diego Costa getting discouraged by the ineptitude of Chelsea's center midfield (and possibly fullbacks who can't cross). Other teams play better with far less resources and quality. Look at Everton. Except from Barkley, they barely have any flair players in their side. Chelsea have the greatest amount of flair players in the league.Costa doesn't worry me though. Just look at the guilt edge chances our strikers have missed all season. You would expect Costa to gobble those up.

How will that works, having competition in the same club and same country at the same time?Did any club ever have this kind of situation before?
