the alleged bad touch when he scored actually worked in his favour

Also the "bad touch" doesn't matter when he didn't have anyone in front of him, and was trying to get the ball forward.

He's won us 4 points but he's been really bad so far this season despite his much improved movement. Finishing, touch, decision making & predatory instincts have all been off.

I agree, his finishing was questionable in our match today (He could have scored four goals! If it wasn't for him shooting straight at the keeps). But his hold up play was good, created the second goal for us.

Thank god he doesn't get another yellow card for dissent tho, don't want to lose our top striker by stupid suspensions.

Quote

Chelsea forward Diego Costa has admitted he was keen to rejoin Atletico Madrid earlier this summer.

Atleti wanted to re-sign Costa but were unable to persuade Chelsea to part ways with the Spain striker. In the end, the Spanish capital club snapped up Kevin Gameiro from Sevilla.

"Everybody knows there was a possibility of going back to Atletico but it didn't happen because of a few details. I thanks the fans and Cholo (Diego Simeone) for his faith," he is quoted as saying in AS.

"Now I'm at Chelsea, I'm happy there and I've started the season with them. I hope Atletico do well this season like last year and win titles. I wanted to go back, I won't lie about it."

Pretty needless thing to say.

Those "few details" that prevented him from returning were probably our boards complete inability to find a replacement of similar quality. Think we would've been shot of him if there was another world class striker available.

At least it doesn't appear to be weighing on him and making him pout and play like shit. Think he'll get his move next summer, though.

I'd say refusal to. The 'incompetence' of the board is laughably overstated on this website.

A deal to bring Greizmann here!

We sell/loan a player - the board is incompetent.

We refuse to sell a player - the board is incompetent.

Wait what? As for a replacement, whom could they have bought of similar quality? We were supposedly interested in Lukaku, yet few wanted him, and those who didn't, again, called the board incompetent. :o
