petre.ispirescu 4,928
Jose said in his post match presser that Diego Costa will go to full fitness levels only if Del Bosque keeps him out of the national squad and lets him work with the medical staff at Cobham for these two weeks. Otherwise, it will be the same for God knows how long - one game he's good to go, the other one he is in danger to tear that muscle again.Who is Spain playing anyway? Is it some European powerhouse? If not and if it's some bollocks national teams coming from the 3rd world of football then let him stay at Cobham ffs, they have plenty of talent to take care of whoever they play against. kellzfresh

I can see the conversation now....'We have Fred, we don't need no stinking Diego Costa'
The Mak 4,459
I wonder if he'll improve his aerial threat. He had three headers today and the third one was the charm. It's no secret it's the area he is less impressive, but still, IIRC it's the second header he's scored for us...Do you guys think he'll improve it? We have some aerial monsters in the team on Terry, Iva and of course, Didier. Maybe they can give him some tips and we could make a work with him on that. Can you imagine if he becomes a threat there too?If Rooney was able to improve his heading vastly at the age of 25 in that 2010 season, I think the beast that is Diego Costa is more than capable of it as well. Didier will advise him. Costa also seems like a guy who just wants to learn and do absolutely everything because he is so hungry for goals. BlueLyon 9,359
Wihout him, we would probably have half less points. The key for the title IMO. kellzfresh and xPetrCechx

RoyalBlues 4,050
I don't know how serious is his hamstring problem. We can only pray all the best for him.So, from Jose words, it seems he is never have a full training since last week? Crazy if true, no wonder he is a liitle bit off at the first half, according to some comments in match thread.
BlueKing 46
This beast just keeps doing the business. Hopefully the injury problems are not severe. I don't think I've ever been this excited about a Chelsea striker before. I remember Jimmy being a beast but this is something else entirely. sdrcfc, kellzfresh, kc_blue and 1 other

The key for the title IMO.Someone with excellent movement that puts chances away, we criticized Mourinho last season when he complained about our strikers accusing him of giving excuses. Costa proves how much advantage mancity had over us last season and we still finished 4 points behind. Just look at Liverpool now without Suarez to understand why the striker is so important to the team. We easily kill off teams and get the 2nd/3rd goals earlier this season all thanks to a proper finisher we never had. AswinR
Popular Post! Special Juan 28,141 Posted September 28, 2014 Popular Post! Share Posted September 28, 2014 I'd advise anyone who is teaching football or who has kids trying to learn the game to watch Costa's movement yesterday……absolute top class. Off the ball he is amazing, he runs the channels perfectly. bababoom, Chelsea Legend 11, Eidur the Spider and 2 others

Barbara 15,149
I'm watching the MOTD link and I've noticed that the two headers that were comfortably saved by Guzan were when Diego was still and then just jumped to head the ball (the first one - in the first half, he was moving, then stopped, then jumped). In the third goal he jumps while still moving (doesn't stop like the first attempt) - that movement made all difference in terms of power. I think he could improve the positioning of his header shots and the power. Good headers are good exactly because of that, the technique to hit the ball where it'll be trickier and with enough power to prevent the goalkeeper of reacting quickly enough. Even then positioning is more important. Goals such as van Persie's first in the world cup and Etoo's against us at Goodison Park are all about there they're hitting the shot.Diego is better to head if he's in motion, if he's still when the cross comes and just jumps, he doesn't have the technique to spot it well and add enough power. I think both things are quite possible to learn. He looks like he's 40, but he's only 25. He has plenty of time to learn new tricks. kellzfresh

He did incredibly well for the Saints, scoring a brace against Newcastle and the incredible winner against QPR and he is my 2nd choice after Diego. Koeman, having 4 wins in a row for Soton + away league cup victory at the Emirates, will likely win the manager's award.
petre.ispirescu 4,928
Couldn't we use another horse placenta treatment on Costa? There's no special treatment in dealing with hamstrings. A good rest (at least two weeks) is the best way to stop that muscle from bleeding.

I'm not sure the placenta thing was used for the hamstring, so I won't call them on that, but whatever treatment our medical team decides is the best, I'm positive is definitely the best. petre.ispirescu
