Scratch R. I. P.

Now in the grand scale of things I know this counts for fuck all.....But, After 18 years, I had to put my cat (Scratch) to sleep at the vets, Due to chronic kidney disease, And I am absolutely shattered.

got him from the Cat santuary of Battersea Dogs Home in October 1996 when the staff there said he had been badly mistreated, and guessed that he was between 4 - 6 years old. I named him scratch because, seemingly due to his previous owners, he was very defensive vey aggressive.

Anyway, Brought him home from vets and buried him in my front garden. Gutted.

Its such a terrible thing, i lost my cat Oscar last week who ive had for 14 years, i was 7 when i got him. He had a tumour, the vets said that they could sort it, i paid £800 and my mum paid £500 all together so it came to £1300 to try and save his life and on Bank holiday monday, we was laying dead on the carpet so it was all in vein :( Seems as tho he died of starvation as he couldnt eat. One of the worst and sasddest days of my life.

My sympathies are with you as i know just how bad it feels. RIP Scratch. They really are family members

The possitive is that we gave them great lives and as the saying goes, one life ends as another life begins (or something within those lines)

Gutted for you mate. I'd never have thought i'd be as cut up was I was but hey ho. On Sunday I sat him on the breakfast bar and washed him, He just sat there and let me, which for a cat as they aint the most water friendly.

I woke up on Monday morning, took one look at him and knew his time was up. He knew too. Desperately sad time.
