I have a feeling conte is a different beast than José in that regard. He sounds like a madman when things don't go right and he'll pick up on a mistake and drill the players to quit making those mistakes. Italians are known to be very fiery characters.

Do you think that goes well with our players?

If they are not up for being corrected after this joke of a season from them, then they might as well leave the club.

Sure some of them might want to make up for this season, but if Conte's behaving like a mad man and they have to run, run, run, we'll see.
They play too much, Euros coming up and they're already tired, their contracts are not running out, difficult with these multi millionaires.
If we buy only 2-3 guys then we're in for a roller coaster, i guess.

I don't know if Conte is as much a mad man as the media makes him to be, but the players must repay the supporters for the suffering they put them through this season. Even if it means accepting to be corrected.

"They are tired" Doing what? Standing on the pitch while watching Kdb glide past them? Or sitting injured for the last 2 months? Or sitting on the bench/reserves to someone like Mikel.

Just hope we sell the lot.

You can hope that but you can't force them, they get their pay either way.
We don't have a right for anything, yes we pay, but so do other fans, but i'm with you on this and hope that most of the players will make up for it.

Fabregas is a talker, admitted to Henry that Chelsea should have done better, but the talking is done on the field and it hasn't improved that much, imo.
For example everyone knows what Mahrez is up to these days, playing those dangerous balls and cutting inside to finish it off, but Chelsea didn't prevent it,
Mourinho told them but they did nothing against it.

Maybe Conte is the needed fresh air and able to change all of that, would love it.
He needs to bring in his soldiers, hope Emenalo is up for it. :)

Some of them are playing footy for many years, maybe it's all coming together and we're talking 'burnout' over here.
They have to train regularly and it's been monitored, i guess, not easy to get away doing nothing. You can't only speak of what happens on the pitch, imo.

Finally we have an agreement, fingers crossed that we'll see a major overhaul in the summer. :)

Players all around the world are doing this. Our football for a year and a half has been shit on a stick football. Our players look lethargic and unenergetic to say the least. Watch ATM play or BVB or spurs to know how much effort they put into the game. How much would those players be training to reach the condition to play the way they do. Chelsea players even talking about "burnout" should be lynched in public.

Perhaps we're just unlucky and got a few bad apples who spoil the bunch. -_-

We pay the big bucks, Loftus-Cheek has done nothing at professional level, but gets about ~60.000 week in, week out. What does this tell you?!
Yes, with a character like Cristiano it wouldn't matter, but look how lazy he's on the field, his off ball movement is horrific, imo.
But on 60k, does he even care?!

And then we have guys like Fabregas, 28 year old international superstar who has won it all (except CL trophy),
do you think he wants to put in the extra shift or rather go on a short holiday trip with his family?!

BVB nurture talent, they don't pay over the odds, the guys are young, hungry and fully focused on footy.
Simeone has found his squad, they would do anything for him on the pitch, just the opposite around here.

We bring in guys like Falcao who failed big time at United, do you think the dressing room is getting optimistic about that?!

Because of all that,  the witch hunt is again and again the number one topic in here. People are desperate, they don't know what to do...big, big screw up...

Our wages have stayed pretty much constant throughout the decade. Despite that, we had a team who fought till the end, never gave up and gave their all compared to the bunch of sissies we have currently.

RLC earning 60k per week means nothing. He has shown his potential and was our best player by a light year against the Cl semi-finalist.

I have to ask, how did simeone find his squad despite selling the likes of Costa. Is it because he actually trusted youth players like Koke and saul and has made them into world beaters? Is it because he bought young talents like Jimenez and sold the likes of miranda instead of continously loaning him or putting him on the bench like we did with Zouma. If this ATM is simeone's team then this chelsea is Jose's team. Oscar, costa, cesc, matic etc etc are all "his" buys/favourites picked over better/players with more potential. Now you would say Jose wanted stones and pogba but since he did not get them it was the board's mistake and this was not jose's team. Well, if a manager requires 150 million pounds of investment every year to not be one point above relegation in december then well, he is not worth it.

Anyways, I digress. The "tired" excuse just does not sit well with me. Teams in the championship have to play 44 games just in the league. Then they have Carling cup and Fa cup. Players year in and year out keep playing. If a 28 year old cesc cant motivate himself or a 24 year old oscar cant, then they can fuck off. You are at your peak at that age. You should be looking to win everything that comes your way. If they dont, then its because they have a shitty mentality. Dont try to pass that off as "tiredness"

It will have to. I don't think it's necessarily just the expectations someone like conte will want from the players, but also he doesn't seem the type to cause pointless controversy and create negative atmosphere like José did. I think the latter did a lot to unsettle the players and create a toxic environment the players struggled with. Conte will also hopefully bring in players whom have a great attitude and fighting spirit to add to the quality we have.
