Rhino's Skin 972
A grim read.Depends how you look at it I suppose.I found the comments made by the readers fascinating. Some made by Liverpool support who were there and backing the article up....some by Liverpool support jumping all over it and slating it

Its the ones in denial that get me, never a truer chant 'always the victim, its never your fault.
Laylabelle 9,534
it's the ones who completely pass the blame.the staduim was dodgy yet them charging was the cause.Yet meant to pity them as it makes them look bad or whatever piss offRip
Fulham Broadway 17,311
Mark Lawrensen just said when the Liverpool team meet up that played that night, they never talk about the violence and murder that night as they are ...embarassed about it. He said the worst thing about that night was having to play the match.I might be wrong Mark, but surely the worst thing was Liverpool fans charging and killing 39 Juve fans. cosmicway 1,333
The hooligans are appalling characters.Right now I 'm in the middle of a compilation of a European league results database and I spotted a number who are missing,Upon enquiry it turns out those were annulled for a variety of reasons. The invasion of the pitch appears to be one of the main reasons and the "champions" are Turkey with some 10 in the last five years, then Greece with 3 or 4. The others no but for some strange reason I see many matches abandoned in the history of the Belgian Jupiler league - I 'm not sure why though. In the Heysel days hooligans were all over the place. Later in Mexico City, in the "hand of god match" when the English players were going to the touchline for a throw-in they were inadvertently shrouded by swastika flags belonging to the hooligans. In Sweden 1988 the same but there the England players made an official protest about it.It's a diabolical situation, it kills football.
