LDN Blue 7,903
I know it's The Mirror and could be total b/s.. But the fact it's being rumoured makes me happy!
Term-X 7,891
Did i say that? NoWe should play him when we need him but he gives depth to the squad and can be used in smaller games or if injury strikes us then in the big one's too.So what if Kakuta stays? There are 3 spots up front,he will get his games.Any other concerns? We said Kakuta would get 'his games' under Carlo but look what happened, even after some great cameos.Kalou is about as good as an inexperienced youngster. What is there to gain from keeping him around?, apart from his complaints to the media about 'sulking team mates'. BLionheart
LDN Blue 7,903
Keeping a player who's a good sub player is pointless. You want players on the bench who will have a chance of breaking into the first team, hence keeping the players who are in the first 11, on their game because they know there's someone on the bench a few metres away who will take their place.Kalou is not the type of player to strike fear into the forwards. They know he's nothing more than the odd 20-minute sub man. Sturridge on the other hand can push them out of their starting line up because he can be a potential starter and do a good job. True_Blue 469
We said Kakuta would get 'his games' under Carlo but look what happened, even after some great cameos.Kalou is about as good as an inexperienced youngster. What is there to gain from keeping him around?, apart from his complaints to the media about 'sulking team mates'.He scored 13 goals and had 6 assists in all competitions. He scored 10 in the Premiership, name me a squad player that is usually (when everyone is fit) on the bench that has that kind of record.Oh yeah and that plays at a top club,he scored 55 goals and had 39 assists in five seasons. That is an average of 10 goals per season plus a hat load of assists. He would be welcome in any club with that kind of record, but people take him for granted. And when i recall he cost us 9mill i am having a fucking laugh. zolayes
Kostas 1,468
It seems he works quite hard in the gym, shame he's an Ectomorph. Nebby

BlueLion. 21,491
Ryan needs to be loaned to a Premier League club, like Kakuta and Mancienne. Then we can decide if he's good enough for Chelsea.

Kostas 1,468
He could do better than a team whose first priority will be to avoid relegation.
ZanSnake 1,211
If he signs a contract BEFORE and is loaned out for a team that is aiming for a mid-table finish, and there is a call-back option in the deal then i am all set for him to go to a PL Club. But, without a new contract, a decent team or a call-back option, i would rather he competed with Ashley for the left-back position - Ashley, who i can feel will miss a couple of matches due to an injury or fitness problem, especially after playing such a large majority of games last season! magic weeds 446
Josh McEachran and Ryan Bertrand have signed new long-term deals with Chelsea.Midfielder McEachran has put pen to paper on a five-year contract while left-back Bertrand has signed a four-year deal. The England Under 21 pair came through the club's academy and both made their first-team debuts last season.McEachran, 18, was named Chelsea's young player of the year after making 17 appearances last term, including four starts."It is good to be offered this sort of contract," he told the club's official website. "Hopefully I will spend my career at Chelsea."I have wanted to do that since I was a kid, since I joined when I was eight years old. It will be good if I do but I need to keep working.Keep improving"This season my target is just to play more minutes. Hopefully I will play more games and keep improving."Bertrand, who turns 22 next month, was lured to Chelsea from Gillingham in July 2005 and has since joined five clubs on loan.Although he has played just one game for Chelsea, coming off the bench in April's 3-1 win over Birmingham, that was his 146th league appearance.A host of clubs have been interested in taking Bertrand on loan next term but he aims to stay at Stamford Bridge and impress new boss Andre Villas-Boas after committing his long-term future to the Blues."It's a big commitment, I see the club going in the right direction," Bertrand added. "I want to stay here, it's the reason I came here six years ago and it's refreshing to have the new manager come in. I'm looking forward to listening and learning from him.Hungry manager"I can see the manager is young and hungry and wants to take the club forward so I want to be part of that and I thought it was best for me to stay."Obviously Ashley (Cole) is number one left-back but hopefully I can get a game here and there."I hope to stay here this season and hopefully catch the manager's eye." St Abramovich 175
Is it just me or does he seem to be central in our marketing. I mean, I have nothing against the guy, but he isn't really a star.

Bosnian Blue 2,471
Sometimes makes me angry, but he is funny and a good lad. As long as he doesn't sulk and moan about warming the bench, he can stay.
