Ryan Fong 2,776
I have a feeling he'll be given number 10, hope not (nothing against him) but i'd much rather Hazard or Oscar gets it... Even he gets it it only lasts half of season. Hazard 10 is written in the star.

Pizy 18,909
Salah for De BruyneMatic for EssienDraxler/Hulk for Mata?Draxler's release clause is reportedly €45m. Highly doubt we'd pay that much for someone who's not a nailed on starter. Think he's almost certainly going to end up at Arsenal, unfortunately. His German mates have already begun the tapping up. GZ25 45
This guys will multiply our fanbase rapidly. Just like kagawa and parkjisung got asia for manutd. Jerseys sold, more money.South Korea and Japan people don't have problem to buy original jersey. Egyptian, I'm not so sure...
Sheva. 5,373
Salah for De BruyneMatic for EssienDraxler/Hulk for Mata?We don't need anyone to replace Mata atm. Mourinho talked about getting one of Piazon, Thorgan or Traore back as 6th option in the summer.

kellzfresh 7,229
NOT kagawa, it was Park Ji Sung... True. I edited my post.Hey Russian & Arab oil money where can we go wrong ?$$$ dollar money leftIf you expect rapid increase of kit sales, sign me then, not an Egyptian, no disrespect. You have no idea. If he can hold the whole Arab market, it'll be fantastic for us. Do you know kagawa is in top 5 shirt sales in the premier league?? Higher than hazard and suarez just because of the asian market?? It will be fantastic on a financial level if we hold the Arab market down.

But I think it won't just be Egyptians though, it could be most of arabs tooI'm not sure if people from Saudi and UAE idolized an Egyptian player that much. Egypt is in Africa, Most of Arab countries are from Asia.Just like South Korea and Japan are both in Asia doesn't mean they like Chinese player because he's from Asia.Chelsea's Facebook and Twitter followers sure will get massive boost. But since they're free...

Rmpr 8,977
I feel sorry for Salah on two levels.1) Going from Mata to Salah is underwhelming to say the very least. A lot of fans with direct their anger towards this guy, but he really isn't the problem.2) He simply won't develop properly with Hazard/Willian ahead of him. He needs constant game time and, bar a massive injury plague, he won't get that here.I agree, but I actually feel more sorry for the tons of players who are already part of Chelsea and wont ever have a slight chance of even being given a few minutes of playing time... The Mak 4,459
I agree, but I actually feel more sorry for the tons of players who are already part of Chelsea and wont ever have a slight chance of even being given a chance...That was my next point. Anyway, if this was going to be the case, why not just keep Mata until the summer and sell him abroad? Sure, you may not get £37m for him, but you won't have to fucking spend £11m on another young player who won't get a proper chance to fully develop here either. We could've waited until the summer, sold Mata for less but could've picked from Traore, Piazon, Hazard etc. to take his place while not strengthening our rivals, and not spending another £11m and giving our current youth a fucking chance for a change. GZ25 45
While the 21-year-old might have preferred the freedom Brendan Rodgers' expressive style would have afforded him at Anfield, he certainly won't be at odds with Chelsea's philosophy. Coming up against more established sides in Europe, he has been asked by manager Murat Yakin to track back, work hard and absorb pressure. In fact, only two outfield players (Shakhtar's Darijo Srna and Porto's Fernando) have recovered possession more times in the Champions League this season than Salah's tally of 44. Meanwhile, no Chelsea attacker has recorded more interceptions than Salah's six, while only Oscar (12) has more tackles than the Egyptian (7) – Mata, as testament to his lack of suitability, has zero.Salah, then, is an entirely different type of threat to what Chelsea currently have at their disposal, though he is also a good fit for the style of play promoted and demanded by Mourinho. The west Londoners may be losing a two-time Player of the Season but, in Salah, they'll have an explosive, frighteningly quick replacement. And one that could have a big role to play in the title race.http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2896/premier-league/2014/01/23/4565273/dynamic-salah-can-be-more-valuable-than-mata-meet-chelseasThe title maybe laughable (for now), but some interesting stats. Pharaoh 12
When Hazard was 21 he was much better than Salah. Salah will NEVER be close to Hazard's level. He hasn't got that good vision and understanding of the game. He isn't special. He is just quite a good dribbler and techniquel. Wtf? That's all Hazard was 2 years ago............. They're almost the exact same player at salah's age, only difference is that hazard has better crossing and passing skills while salah has a better eye for goal.
