Drogba is way past his prime...

IF there is actually a match played to save the earth, DD should be leading the line. only other guy i would even think of is zlatan.

big games, u need players who turn up and give everything they have aka DD.

LOL! Yeah mate, there will be a match to save Earth from the mighty aliens who got nothing else to do besides watching football matches in our stadiums!!!

And about Didier, it is true though, he is not half of what he once was (hence he is third option of Ivory Coast). I am not taking away his greatness, but he cant take no more...

3rd striker? when did that happen? u mean DD dint play those done and dusted group stage matches, thats why he became 3rd choice? watch the ivory coast-senegal match play off match, DD started when needed.

also bony plays for swansea and kone played for wigan(relegated team) and now everton meanwhile DD is still terrorizing one of the best defence in the world (JUVENTUS) in champions league football. but u r right, he cant take no more!!!! LOL...

The last two matches I watched Ivory Coast he was a sub and in the Africa Cup he wasnt even being prefered over the mighty Kalou. It could be because they didnt want to fatigue him for the big matches, but I have my doubts.

Drogba isnt half of what he once was, but that doesnt mean he has become shit. Of course he will continue to score. But when talking about building the best possible starting eleven right now, he doesnt even get to be mentioned!!!

Dont let your fanatism get in the way...

the last match i saw of ivory coast was the last match ivory coast actually played and DD dint just start but scored in the 5th minute from the penalty. as for the matches he was left out, those were the matches where ivory coast had topped the group and were simply dead rubbers.

DD is definitely not what he was but he is still more than formidable. strikers like manzukic, rvp, aguero etc etc, give u more over a season of 60 matches, DD wont.he dint even care in our league matches in 2011-12. u wont get a 100% performance from him people away at norwich trying to break them down. but when talking about one match, just ONE BIG MATCH, he will STILL be right at the top.he is STILL that immense. over a period of 90 minutes, DD will have a major influence and impact on the game.

and i am not letting my fanatism coming in the way. i am saying what i actually believe.

Ok, valid points, but I still highly disagree with it anyways.

For me, Didier would not come close to the performance Ibra or Aguero or even RvP would atm. I'd definitely choose Drogba if it was 2-3-4 years ago, but right now I wouldnt bet the world over him. That is just my opinion!

As I stated above, I would clearly go with Ibra. There is no one like him atm...

as i said earlier IBRA would be a definite choice (the only one i would consider if things were upto me). no other.

ps - i was wondering over your point about DD not playing in african cup of nations. and i remembered why. he had not played any football for a couple of months in china. his physical fitness was very poor and he was rightfully dropped. (just wanted to clear things).

No doubt about that.
