Wow, hats off to Basel, they played a superb, almost flaw less 45 mins. If Luiz hadn't made that dribble with the ball and forced them out of shape, we would not have score. Speaking of which, great pass by Frank, and brilliant finish by Oscar. Sublime.

We also lacked some width, especially on the left flank. Hazard has to do more, imo, and MVG needs to calm down, like seriously!

The timing of the goal would have hurt them and hopefully we'll see a more open second half.

Oscar would probably leave before he allows himself to be placed further back. Such a move would be damaging for his international career.

CM is perfect for his drive and his late arriving in the box... he plays there 60% of the time anyways... so I don't see how it would destroy him? he will blossom in that role... what would be your preferred solution? were still slow due to lamps... we need someone like him in the CM Mata is too much a ballhugger for the CM-Spot...

He hasn't been good, but from some comments on here you'd think he's useless. For some reason the expectations for him are ridiculous compared to others in the same age/prizebracket.

I even read stuff like 'WHEN the fuck he is gonna show us why we paid for him'. Have you missed last season? Have you missed the BAYERN game 2 games ago? Ah that's right fans memories go as far as the previous game.

He needs to do better, but it's not as bad as some are making it out to be//

I worry a bit about Marco getting another yellow... I mean he's a bit nervous still - imo - and he's so physical that maybe in one of those he shows a bit too much strength or else and get sent off for a second yellow

Far back for him. I think his work rate is perfectly suited for when he is stationed in an attacking position. Farther back means there is more importance placed on the defensive workrate. Chipping in on defense is an entirely different situation than having to actively structure your game around defending centrebacks behind you.

Or future is with a Van Ginkel-Ramires paring at CM IMO.
