Another horrible performance. It's hard to watch him. He NEVER looked liked scoring, makes me want to cry :(

While I agree, you can't expect the strikers to score if there is absolutely zero creativity coming from the midfield.

Broken disc, that's what you are: Eto'o plays bad, average, good or very good, you post always the same crap.

Why don't you write this things in Torres' thread with the same frequency? Oh right, because he, unlike Eto'o, is such a threat for the opposition...:clown:

But Eto'o is shit, while poor Nando "still has it in him :( " (cit.).

Well said. The broken disc is getting pretty tiresome and boring. Best to just ignore the crap.

Anyway, being said that, Eto'o played very bad before Christmas, after his injury.

Now, he is getting better, but today nearly didn't touch the ball, because of the way the team "played", and I think that Eto'o shouldn't have started this game; I think in fact that Torres (who also needs minutes after recovering from his injury) should have started this match, since he is more suited for open space games.

Also, subbing him at 45 minute was a ridicolous move from Mourinho.

Think you will find we passed it to him plenty of times , he just either fell over it , or forgot that you have to take the ball with you!

Thought he was actually the best of our front four, which really isn't saying much, tbh. He actually showed some energy, fought for balls and made some good movement.

But we could have had Van Busten and the original Ronaldo and we still wouldn't have scored yesterday. There was zero space and we rarely had the ball in the final third.

Eto'o reminds me very much of George Weah, both black, both won African player of the year numerous times, both came to Chelsea too late for us to see the best of them... And looking at their taste in clothes they both seem to get dressed in the dark.

  • 2 weeks later...

Maybe he has scored his last goal for us, wouldn't surprise me if he put in a horrible performance today and effectively end his Chelsea career 3 months early. Usually Jose starts falling out with players mean either they or him are gone. In this case Eto'o will go.
