stroey 2,525
To say he's getting very selfish is an exaggeration and all because he took like 10-15 shots by himself against Bolton. Had he scored a few there and/or even against Sporting Lisbon, nobody would be saying that at all.Exactly, against Bolton he had more responsibilities to be decisive in the game. No Hazard, Costa, Willian and Cesc meant he had to lead the attack. Oscar felt the same, they were both the only regular attackers in that line up.Against Sporting he had a great performance but was a bit unlucky. Costa, Oscar and Salah also missed some big chances. Schurrle worked really hard and defended really well.
Nike 373
Schurrle had some many good opportunites he messed up, but I think he should be starting moving forward instead of Willian.
kellzfresh 7,229
His poor touch, poor technique and poor decision making is costing him. Has to improve.
MrExcalibur100 7,124
Diabolically bad. He needs a spell on the bench to regain his confidence. Right now he's not good enough to be anywhere near the starting XI.

Vacklm 6
Chelsea doesn't fit schurrle's play style. He would be better at one of the German teams

lucio 5,418
i see no benefit in playing him over willian. he contributes more goals himself, but willian will improve the team overall.
Dion 2,476
he had 62% pass accuracy against arsenal !Not saying he was not poor but pretty much every attacking player had a below standard passing percentage in this match. For example, Fabregas had 77% and Hazard 81% IIRC, not too bad but below their standard quality for sure.

He's definitely in a poor run of form however. I was surprised to see him start ahead of Willian and thought he should have come off a lot sooner than he did. He is playing the same football he did last season, 3 or 4 games aside. WC goals made people believe he is better than he actually is. mediator, Shakez, Muzchap and 4 others

I'm not really a fan of Schurrle's overall ability but when on-form he can still be a useful player.Perhaps the real issue is not having a clear first-choice player on that side (like a Hazard) good enough to be more than just a squad player. Jase 43,479
I don't think Schurrle was as bad as people have made him out to be against Arsenal. Yes, he was somewhat unproductive going forward in the game but who else really did anyway? Completely worked his socks off both offensively and defensively and played like someone who wanted to make things happen. jeronimo

He was poor, no way around it.

Dion 2,476
huh?try again.hazard 90%fabregas 88%77% and 81% were the stats they showed on ESPN. I didn't made them up, I even said if I remembered correctly. I don't know if they were 77 and 81 exactly but they were definitely lower than 90 and 88. If ESPN got them wrong it's another story. Polo7 3,496
Schurrle has been poor this season and needs to be dropped. Hard working he is, didn't stop us criticising Oscar and Willian last season. Winning the word cup gives you some sort of immunity to criticism.
