Leif 6,006
He's like a more hard-working Malouda with worse finishing and crossing IMO.That figure really better be in euros.
Hutcho 8,443
There is a serious gulf in talent between Ozil and Schurrle. Ozil is a world class player. I don't know how you can compare the two. Jose in my opinion has started with a swing and a miss with this transfer. You have to at least give him a game with us before saying it was a swing and miss. Pizy 18,914
Seems as though Kevin isn't included in the deal so I can rest a bit easier.
Toli 977
20 m is a good deal. dont get the fuss here about. he will give everything and is a hard worker. he is young too.
Fernando 6,585
Does anybody feels like Schurrle is a Kuyt?Brought here to be Torres donkey?
Super-Mario 74
According Kicker we are paying 20 Million EURO not pound. And also there are rumours Aubameyang is changing to Germany. Dortmund OR LEVERKUSEN. So there is hope, that Kevin is not included in the deal.
jmarlow 458
Good buy if KdB if going to stay! Schurrle is certainly better than Marin and Moses.

If KDB isn't included in the deal, then we have bought a young talented player to add to our depth. He is also only 22, so he still has a lot of resale value if it doesn't work out. nono 791
ChelsTransferGossip @ChelsTransfer 1mBayer Leverkusen Sporting Director Rudi Voller has agreed the sale of Schurrle to Chelsea for €20m. He will sign a 5 year deal #CFC (Kicker)
Leif 6,006
You just don't pay this sort of money for someone who will "work hard and give his all". Any of our youth team players would do that without us having to pay a penny in transfers. For this sort of money I expect a lot and I know we won't get it. He is mad young and has a lot of potential. Who with Mourinho will help to get the best out of him.

Leif 6,006
Can you guys please stop complaining about the price? Damn, it was the same shit when Ramires was bought. We payed the top price expecting Ramires to come in and replace Essien as our #1 box-to-box player. But this reported figure for what everyone assumes is a 'depth option' who happens to have some of the worst end product in the Bundesliga will and rightly so infuriate some people including myself. That's 20m which could be added to signing someone like Cavani, De Rossi, a defender, a back up keeper, Shaw, anyone. But no, it's being justified by saying "he works hard." Lalkovic and Boga work hard too in our youth. Why not use them? "He has potential" - So do Kakuta, Piazon, etc. Why not use them? There is no logic behind this transfer. None.

Hard work means a lot. If torres worked hard then there would be less people as annoyed with him. Are any of our youth team players better than him? Not KDB, because i can't be asked to start that thing again, and he could still be staying which is great. But imo, he is a good player worth about 15 million pounds. And because he is 22. He has resale value.

Leif 6,006
If he was as good as people claim, "resale value" due to his age would be irrelevant. If he's that good with such a high-potential ceiling, why would we consider selling him?

He's just shit though.
