Demba Ba

We do have to remember though that Demba Ba has been used as either a loan striker in a 4-3-3 or as a partner in a 4-4-2. No idea how he'll perform in our sort of formation.

He has played as a lone striker in a 4-5-1, which is basically a more conservative version of our 4-2-3-1. But one must take these things into considering I suppose.

Man Utd paid Bebe's agent 3.5m to secure his move. Just saying...

xD and look how that turned out. Though I'm fully convinced the Bebe deal was a scam of sorts, but that's an issue for another day

I'm happy we're close to getting him but I have this sinking feeling with him that if we did get him 2 weeks late he'd get tackled and mess up his knee. Knowing our luck :(

Newcastle United can confirm that Chelsea Football Club has made an official offer for Demba Ba which has triggered the release clause in the player's contract. The Club has given the player permission to speak to Chelsea FC and therefore he will not be included in the squad for tonight's game against Everton.

Haha, I think it was definitely a scam. Fergie in his old age didn't know what hit him.

His knee problem is overrated IMO.

Exactly since hes been in the PL hes never had any more occurrences of this knee injury even though I said in the David Villa thread, Villa if available would be a better option in case Ba does get crocked. Anyway get Ba signed up already
