Fernando Torres

Yeah I'm sick and tired of him too. He's finished, he was just one of those players like Kaka who had 3 years of absolute brilliance and then capitulated. I think he's gone 24 hours of football without a goal, that is a whole day and night of football without scoring. The last player I seen have that much of a shocker in front of goal was when Crouch joined Liverpool back in 05, we absolutely ripped Crouch to death on the old forum and now its happened to us.

Yeah. It's like, I do feel sorry for him and of course he's a Chelsea player so I wish him well. But it's just like "yeah, it ain't happening.. Again," so it's like we're getting used the crap performances we're getting and there's no point in analysing it. Every game, we see the same thing, even if it's a slight improvement, it's just not enough. So yeah, it's the same sh't till June and we should just get used to it now. Hopefully Di Matteo will just throw Lukaku in there now.

Yep, he seems done now. Dunno what has actually happened to him but he's really suffering. Can still cross and pass well tho, put him on the right, he's always done well out there, even for the dippers.

I'm glad someone else noticed, it seems I'm watching a totally different game to most on here most of the time. He could of had 3 assists with the chance Mata had in the opening few minutes. His confidence is still shot though but this performance will go a long way in restoring it.

We say this after every good performance though and it just doesn't work. His confidence has been down ever since he's moved here and it's barely improved. He doesn't play with any confidence in front of goal now and it doesn't look like it's coming back.

(Thought I'd address that here, not in the post-match talk)

Apologies to those that do see his work off the ball & his contribution other than scoring - I was pointing a finger at the post on the match thread & to the many on here that persist on the negative side because he is not scoring. He needs a quality pass like the ones he supplied for Sturridge & Mata to get him scoring again. A tap in or lucky deflection will do, sometimes all it needs.

I was at the Bridge in the home game against Birmingham & his movement was superb, I lost count the amount times he could of been played in but the likes of Meireles & Mikel just didn't see it & just played safe, Alonso was the man for Torres, he needs a quality player behind who can see that pass. The jury is still out off course but a confident Torres could just make some people eat a very large slice!

ive said this many times...

torres is not our worry at the moment, there was plenty of times where torres made that run but didnt get the return ball...

hes works his ass off, you cant fault him for that...

he does EVERYTHING but score... i know he's a striker so fuck off if you say "strikers score goals"

he plays for the team now... and he is just UNLUCKY! fuck, even if you hate him you have to feel for him...

i got your back nando, just keep pushing forward and working hard...

£101,480,000 the cost of the transfer and the 5 year deal we offered Torres.

So that's a bargain price of £20,296,000 per goal.

Unbelievable, seriously mind baffling.

I don't think I have ever seen anything as shocking as that in football. Roman will have to write that off too, hopefully it will make Roman stay out of our transfers in future.

He doesn't have the best service, but it's not as if he's getting absolutely nothing at all. Whatever he gets, he always fucks it up. He either runs into a defender or takes a hopeless shot like the one yesterday.

Also, he doesn't make any proper runs. Whenever fullbacks get in positions to cross, he often just stands where he is and then after the play is over complains at his bad luck. He was better yesterday but overall in his Chelsea career he's been pathetic at making any sort of decent runs

Idk, definitely seen Torres make some good runs recently.

Yes last 2 or 3 games he's been better but I think in the Swansea (?) game, there were about 4 or 5 instances in the 2nd half itself when Cole or Bosingwa got in crossing positions and he didn't bother to run

That left foot shot of his was terrible. Many of you complain of lack of service but when he creates his own chances he doesn't take them.He takes a 1 step forward and then 2 steps back and then side passes it to some midfielder. The guy is more of a midfielder than a striker and the fact that he is not scoring goals doesn't really bother me now,its that he is a blocking a starting place for Lukaku.

The fact is that a 5 goals/40 games striker is holding Lukaku's/Sturridge's position as hostage for £101,480,000 ransom. But the worst part is that the club let him. Where's Kevin Spacey when you need him?

The funny thing is the justification for keeping Kalou out of the team is an odd goal and a few bits of good movements aren't good enough for Chelsea yet the latter alone is justification to keep Torres around?

Because we are so desperate to not look like fools who have been ass raped by Liverpool. That's that.

Every time Torres misses - which is quite often - the opposing team's crowd goes crazy. It's demotivating as hell. I hope he can rebound, but I've been saying this for too long. We should try Lukaku.

As for his assists, he only has 8; and other than that cross against United, most of them were just "meh" assists.
