I don't "like to slag people off", I've never insulted any of our players, in fact I'm always the one defending the ones that are being over-criticized, and that has included Torres on several occasions. I'm not the one who posted the GIF and I don't think I even liked it. I'm just saying that I can't see anything wrong with posting it. I'm sorry, but I can't.

Well to be honest that happened to my son this summer (2 years old) and one of my former teammates who was present burst out laughing saying he apparantly got my incredible technical football skills genes.

They are not actually about someone's child and posting a picture of their child. That is inappropriate. As i said must be nice for you that you and your children (future children) are so wonderful that people would post pictures and slag them off a wee kid. Its quite different.

It's funny that Eto'o's not so great performances yesterday (which was still better than most of what Torres has "blessed" us with at Chelsea) has made people forget just how bad he has been for us.

Do i need to remind you when he joined went on a 17 game goal drought, scored a few then went on 24 (no that's not a typo, twenty four) and the Torres that has currently scored 1 premier league goal in 2013, yes 1 in 6 months of action in the PL.

What's the odds that Eto'o will end this year with more PL goals than Torres? i wouldn't rule it out.

Eto'o hasn't had the best of starts, but this sudden pining for Torres is weird, i remember similar after Anelka left, we had a bad month and all off a sudden Anelka was the answer to our woes all this time, despite being one of the main culprits for us stagnating in the first place.

Ba touched the ball 3 times in the 18 minutes he played. Even Torres would have made better because 2013/14 Torres version while still lousy, at least goes deeper and tries to link up. He still fails - poor thing, it seems beyond his reach to actually perform well - but he at least tries and he might score the odd goal here and there. No more Ba, please, Mou!!!!!!!!!!

oh I didn't read because well, is there much to say/read about Torres? My post wasn't about contextualizing with what you guys have been talking, I just wanted to give me opinion about him being our #2 striker option. He has to be it when the alternative is Ba. Torres sucks and normally this thread either makes it worse than it really is, or his fanboys and fangirls try to make him look good or try to convince us there's still hope. Rarely you see a middle-ground post - that in my opinion is that he sucks, he won't get better, but he's still better than Ba and he improved slightly the last months last season and this season he seemed to have carried on that slight improvement.

OK you explained it all. Still I am not sure whether BA is much worse than Ferda. I admit, he needs to improve, but if he only sits around, then how is he going to do that ? The odd 20 minutes on the pitch is just not good enough. Arsenal wanted him, bombastic Jose put a stop to it. Then, I may ask, why did he wait for so long ? Why not move him elsewhere if he refused to let him go to Arsenal ? As I already repeated Jose is not what we all thought he would be, in my view.

I know our strikers have only had a couple of games each, but the way Torres performed against Bayern Munich > any of Ba's, or Eto'o's performances so far. He should start versus Fulham.
