U can like defensive football but such people are minority. Therefore a team who plays defensive football will never have the fanbase of the clubs who play attractive. And fans for a football club is everything.I want to see ChelseaFC one day as the biggest club in the world, but this will never happen if we continue to play like this.

Fuck them, less bandwagoners that way.

No, no, Rami, your opinions are what you believe in and it's not our place to question them. We just disagree, is all.

Anyway, back to Torres, I don't know what to do with him. He hasn't shown enough promise for me to put my trust in him. I really think if we don't retain Drogba we need to splash the cash on a proven goalscorer who's not out of form. Someone like Falcao. Or perhaps give Sturridge a tryout at striker.

I should delete my account here, because i want Chelsea to play attractive football? Is that what u say?

No because you pay no respect to Drogba; seem to harp on about Barca and Arsenal while the latter haven't won a title in god knows how many years and belittle what we have achieved saying we aren't one of the biggest club in the World until we play to some sort of standard only you seem to think is good enough. You also seem to think we played ugly football when Robben and Duff were around and Lampard was still in his mid 20s.

If you want Chelsea to be something different than what it is, you want us to play to certain standard and that's the only way you'd view Chelsea is the one of the biggest clubs in the World you have your priorities out of order.

I CAN SAFELY SAY THAT FOR ME CHELSEA FC HAS BEEN ONE OF THE TOP CLUBS IN THE WORLD IN THE LAST DECADE

Not every club is privileged to have Xavi; Messi; Iniesta; Puyol; Pique; come up from the academy that sort of things happens once in a decade. While also having a 100 million TV Deal to sign up the likes of Dihno; Alves; Ibra; Deco; Villa etc etc

Attractive football is in the eye of the beholder, I personally don't find Barca's style of hogging possession and not allowing the other team to attack all that compelling - performances like the one at the Bridge 4-2 for Chelsea are what really brings great joy to me. Even our Victory over Barca and the subsequent progression to the Final was absolutely fantastic and gripping football for me. I can say the same about Inter against Barca a few years ago - because things are always stacked heavily to favor Barcelona in the last few years.

So u don't think for Chelsea's good but for yourself.

Anyone can support Chelsea as far as I'm concerned. As long as it isn't flavour of the month. I don't mind casual fans, because that is all they will be; casual. It's bandwagoners that piss me off.

Spot on, Ron, Barcelona are one of the biggest in the world and they officially call their supporters 'customers' :mouthclosed:

I hope that rampant commercialism never affects Chelsea.

We have to get another striker, regardless of if Drogba leaves or not - don't forget Drogba is still inconsistent and won't turn up against the Wigan's and QPR's.

I think Higuain is our best option because he would not be as expensive as Falcao or Cavani. I'm sure with Marin, Mata and Hazard/Hulk he will do well here.

(To get him, we will have to get rid of one of Drogba and Torres)

Well its because of the "cusotmers" they manage to pay the biggest wages, buy the best players and dominate not only the old continent but the world.

Higuian as much as I like him needs someone like Lavezzi to create space and create distractions. If Higuian is indeed the choice, I would prefer Lavezzi over Hulk.

Well that's how I see it.

Forgot about Lavezzi, another good option out wide for us.

Lavezzi---Mata---Marin/Ramires

-------------Higuain---------

That would be a very good and dangerous front 4. There's also KDB as back up.

No, it's not. They dominate because the system permits and encourages big clubs to continue perpetuating their imperialism over everyone else. How much money can Barcelona's army of fans make? Their stadium only holds 99,000. A very small fraction of those 'customers' actually give their money to the club. Buying shirts, merchandise etc. don't count. How many Messi shirts will one fan buy? Not that many, but how many games will those 99,000 attend? Probably all of them.

Not in the Premiership, TV rights are shared.

I think Torres should be give his fair chance.I fancy him becoming a RVP for us next season. Will see.

He's been given 16 months now to come out of his slump but still hasn't managed to do it. At best we'll end up with a 15-20 goal a season player. He's not the guy for us to depend on, he is more like what Anelka was when he played here- get a few goals here and there, score some important goals, but a foil for a more prolific player.
