What do you do for a living?

Interesting! Especially, for me at least, in black culture in America. There is so much interestingsubject matter there. Did you see this documentary? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1m-4qxz08So

Yup it's a discourse that's happening everywhere right now with major movements in North America, France, Brasil and the Caribbean. And its freaking huge with so many parts that I drive myself crazy trying to figure out where I actually want to focus. Yup I seen it but thanks for sharing it.

I'd be bold and include it actually. It is those things that make dissertations stand out. Ultimately that leads to better grades - just because of the eye catching factor.

Also, it is gonna make interviews and your focus group so much more entertaining (in my experience people tell a LOT more when they are amused).

Makes sense! I really need to buckle down and narrow my focus. Thanks!!

Social worker (mental health)

Prior to that I done lots of different jobs, some in Britain, some abroad in the early to mid 90's. Then I joined the British army ,came out in December '99. And apart from some spells of ill health have worked in various roles within the mental health field ever since.

I'm still working at Kumon. And have completed the second year of my economics degree. No idea what i am going to do after. And partly due to the PS4 coming out etc, i could well be fairly skint by then lol. Still... Could be worse. And at least when i eventually get my degree that will always stay with me and enable me to pursue a career wherever. Always used to think i wanted something office based, but now i am not sure as it seems to be quite stressful and i'm not sure whether it would be worth it. Happiness over money all day long.

Oh really? :Goober:

Hahaha!

I took the year off, sort of. But I am not doing nothing all day, I continue to study to keep track of what my friends are learning and I am working my butt off at my day's company.

Funny enough, I took the year to put my life in order and focus on things I was putting behind due to the constant studying, but I am ending up with more things to do than when I was in University.

Yeah, I know. Yet I sound so young. Incidentally I am. :P

I do get paid to study... $500 a month, LOL. I am also torn between journalism and pedagogy. Don't know which way I'll a go yet, though.

You get paid to study? Really? Dafuq is this...

All students above age 18 are entitled to a free grant regulated partly by the income of their parents if they are below age 20. The basic rate for students living on their own and older than 20 is 5,662 DKK (about USD 960) a month.
