Expectations? Third and maybe the quarterfinals of the CL League. Go pretty far in both of the Cups and maybe win one. Don't care about the world club championship (Champion of Europe IS champion of the world), the UEFA Super Cup (The Champions League is THE European Championship. Europa League is second tier.), or the Community Shield (really just a friendly). Obviously would prefer to win, but don't care much at all. More than anything, I'd like to see the team gel over the course of the season and get better and better as the year goes on and by the end of the season, us to be playing the attractive, flowing, exciting football we are building towards. .

-Realistically, I expect we win a couple of the mickey mouse tournaments (Commuinity, Super, World cup, and Carling)

-A comfortable 3rd in the league

-Quarter finals of the CL

-Not sure about the FA, probably won't win at Wembley without Drogba :(

I'm getting the feeling that Roberto is turning us into a cup-conquering side, in all honesty. I think we're going to struggle in the league. Why? For a very simple reason. Unless Oscar happens to be the Second Coming and Mata can maintain his form throughout the entire season, and Torres can bang in the ball at least 25 times, we're going to struggle for goals. Big time. We need more strikers. Last season we struggled and we had Drogba, Anelka, Kalou and Lukaku. Now we just have Torres and Sturridge.

Expectations:

League - 3rd, hopefully either Manchester club stuffs up and we can take 1st or 2nd.

Fa Cup - don't really mind. Would love to see Moyes lift that trophy with Everton, he deserves a trophy.

League cup - QF or SF game against Liverpool like usual..

UCL - QF

Club world cup - hopefully a win.

I thought we were short when we had Torres Sturridge and Lukaku. Now Sturridge injured . Who will be on the Bench ..Bamford or Piazon.

do Spain have a midweek friendly????

omg Puerto Rica

Sturridge will be fine I think. Didn't look in any discomfort in the pitch, unless the toe 'injury' is something he picked up afterwards. Just a ploy to skip the Italy friendly would be my bet.
