Oscar

Well, but what were Mourinho's options on the bench in each of the game ? For example he didn't play against Man City away last year (of course he didn't) but played whole match at home because we had RLC, Brown, Ake and Christensen on the bench. For me two omissions in semi-final against Atletico tell you the story that Oscar's position in the team is far from certain and pretty much there for the taking.

Oscar was completely off form at that point of time and it made sense for Mourinho to drop him for the two matches.

I never said he has written one.

Anyway on that incident, Oscar probably refused to celebrate much because he thought he got lucky with the free kick and all the talk about Mourinho not playing Oscar in the big games is a bit off. Since Mourinho returned, he has played Oscar in a lot of the big games. If anything, he only doesn't play him in few of the away matches.

2013/14:

Man United (a) - Played the whole game

Man United (h) - Played until the 68th minute

Arsenal (a) - Played the last 13 minutes

Arsenal (h) - Played 67 minutes

Man City (h) - Played the whole game

Man City (a) - Played last 7 minutes

Liverpool (h) - Played the whole game

Liverpool (a) - Not in squad but remember, we concentrated on the Champions League then

Tottenham (a) - Played the full game

Tottenham (h) - Came on at HT

PSG (a) - Played 73 minutes

PSG (h) - Played 81 minutes

Atletico Madrid (a) - On the bench

Atletico Madrid (h) - On the bench

2014/15:

Arsenal (h) - Played 87 minutes

Arsenal (a) - Came off at HT due to concussion

Man United (a) - Played 67 minutes

Man United (h) - Played 67 minutes

Liverpool (a) - Played the full game

Liverpool (h) - Didn't play due to injury

Man City (a) - On the bench but wasn't used

Man City (h) - Played the whole game

Tottenham (h) - Played the whole game

Tottenham (a) - Played 45 minutes

PSG (a) - Played 7 minutes

PSG (h) - Played first 45 minutes

I just can't see Oscar having a problem with Mourinho considering the latter has put so much faith and belief in the former to be our No.10 for years to come, till the point several other No.10s have been discarded.

So where you heard it?

So where you heard it?

You have completely misunderstood the point. I never said Neil Ashton has written a story on it or there's one. If you remember, Ashton used to have insiders at the club, always writing pieces for Daily Mail about what's going on with the players, manager and the board (he doesn't have them anymore) and so, I just made that comment, which was meant to be tongue-in-cheek.

Still think he has a small fallout with Jose behind the scene and Jose probably tries to avoid adding more fuel to this fire in light of recent events so he just says this to bench him for yet another big game easier.

How exactly telling a lie about Oscar would solve the "conflict" between them?

It doesn't but it gets the media off his back for now and prevents the situation from developing on top of the current issue with medical staff. Unless something changes I can see him going Schurrle's way and off in Jan.

Our attacking mids, they all want to receive the ball outside the box and create something. Oscar should get into the box and distract defenders and score goals. We miss Schurle's runs into the box and Lampard's long shots. Oscar is capable of doing of both these.

the media isn't on his back for that. Except one comment from someone at Sky Sports, nobody commented on it.

And much more important than the media relations and what they publish or air, it's his relationship with the player. It makes no sense for him to have lied about, but Mourinho now even breathes in the wrong way, I suppose.

And with that newest BS, count me in the list of people that got fed up with this place. TalkChelsea is worse than any tabloid we have. I definitely don't have any more reason to come here... this place is barely a shadow of what it used to be. It really became a tabloid - of the worst kind.

I know and by doing this he will keep them from jumping on his back. It is not hard for media to put 1+1=2 together by combining Oscar being dropped this weekend with his seemingly unhappy celebration last week, by saying he is injured no one can question Jose.

Actually in some cases it helps if he lies because it avoids feeding more fuel to the media fire and that is probably a good enough reason for him to.

Does anyone really believe he's injured? Just another excuse for Mourinho to play Zouma or Ramires in midfield. Whether that's justified or not remains to be seen.

I think Jose just says it so the media doesn't question his parking the bus tactic.

Yeah, because media never question his "parking the bus tactic" when Oscar doesn't play.

Why it's so hard for some people to accept that player might be really injured instead of making conspiracy theories?

I don't think there is a rift between Mou and Oscar. But man this guy has a tendency to pick up mysterious injuries before a big game. Everton away and City away last season also.

Here's a conspiracy theory - maybe Oscar is afraid to play in the big games.

Because there are people who live only to spread anti-messages about Mourinho.
