Oscar

Now what, didierforever will come around pointing that we members on this topic, José and Oscar himself, are all wrong and that he holds the absolute truth ?

To be fair, his opinion is valid - oscar has been too inconsistent, so a preseason will accelerate his development in that aspect and again, if he does not there is a young lad in our squad called Ruen Loftus Cheek who will happily take his minutes.

No problem with that, i was referring to how you downplayed the arguments lot of games and lack of pre-season ( before denying doing it for the latter when it suited you ) on this topic.

I have no problem with your point of view at all, everyone kbows Oscar has been inconsistent, but everybody also kbows that the guy needs rest and that he is a huge part of our XI when at his best.

the "lot of games" argument has already been done and proven to be nothing more than bullshit.

the lack of pre-season, i admitted to it even that day. go on again read what i had written. u can start with this. http://forum.talkchelsea.net/topic/14112-8-oscar/?p=1115344. and read a couple more.

the operational word here was "when at his best". when he is not at his best he has been poor. and the number of months when he is not at his best have ranged from 4-5 in a 9 month season. hence, the doubt on his ability and consistency. even coutinho plays well for 3-4 months in a season. fortunately, we dont want that. we want players who are consistent for the season cos that is how you win leagues.

^^^Are you haterz the new coach or the board or a f****** legend like pele who this lad has his respect and even spends time with.Stop overblowing your amateur opinions for too long it spoils this forum.

Pele had once labelled Robinho as his successor, therefore he isn't always right.

What do you think of Hamann? Before the second game Bayern Munich vs. Porto he predicted an easy win for Porto.

You don't need to be a great player to analyse the game. There are other qualities needed.

You don't know if some people are working for a club, so please stop calling people freshmen...

In the end everyone is entitled to have their own opinions. If you can't stand it, maybe this forum isn't the right place for you...

Next season Oscar has to man up. The missing pre-season is the silver lining for his supporters, we'll see.

I for one am very sceptical about his abilities to get the job done in the Big Games!

Some need to accept an opinion before giving an actual one. Some pretty bitter haters mess this thread to shreds.

And if he doesn't perform according to your godly standards what would you do? Break his legs??

I would never hurt anyone just because he doesn't live up to his potential, that's wrong, sorry!

If Oscar can't cut it here next season, then no one with a brain is going to pay >£40 for the Brazilian.

Allegri is coming with big pockets, after the sale of Vidal he has money to burn and he is clearly looking for a number 10...

Weighing up the pros and cons, there is a decision to be taken care of.

On his day Oscar is a brilliant player, that should be taken into consideration, but after the winter he is less the player he once was.

For example his assist against ManUnited was a brilliant piece of work, but in a lot of the games, when the team needs him the most,

he fades away...with all due respect, Fabregas knows those problems himself...

I like Oscars shooting technique, but he has to use that gift more often. It reminds me a little of Kroos, who is also a master of squandering that ability.

Mourinho has confirmed, that he is looking for a new midfielder. If it is possible, i would like to have someone like Koke and Oscar both in the squad, but that doesn't come cheap.

It depends on the system, the money and who Mourinho trusts. We all know that the Portuguese is one of the smartest guys in the business and you can't out think him. If a big offer is on the table, i can't predict his decision!

Juventus is weird.

They buy a shit player in zaza for 18m and they are not willing to spend big on any of the ams potentially available. Out of oscar, ozil, isco, and gotze, that oscar would be the easiest to get...

I don't understand people saying that Oscar needs rest before start of season. It is not like he will get rest every pre-season. Or are you trying to suggest that we should keep Oscar so he can play a season consistently after every 3-4 years

Genuinely can't wait to watch him this season. There's just that air of inevitably for me he explodes this season like Lampard in 04 or Ramsey the previous season. This is just the calm before the storm & eventual eggs on faces. Someone photoshop Oscar's face on this pic please.
