I do make mistakes occasionally but I usually just start over if I do because it fucks up my concentration and the score will then be much lower.

You should try to ignore them and keep on going. You can get higher scores if you allow a few mistakes in. It distracts me too, but when I'm fully concentrated I just keep going if I feel I'm at an adequate pace. One thing that also distracts me is that time counter, for example in my last English record I thought I saw 0:00 at the corner of my eye and stopped for a few seconds.
