More RW than LW this season tho. Hes a Swiss Army Knife,

10 games at LW, 9 games at RW

7 goals, 3 assists at LW

5 goals, 4 asissts at RW

Ibrahima Traoré , their main RW, has been injured twice, and their other main RWer, Patrick Herrmann, has been in poor form, so maybe that is why he has played at RW a lot

they are loaded everywhere else, winger is by far their weak point, especially if Hazard isn't playing

Dieter Hecking, their manager loves to play a 4 3 3 attacking similar to Sarri

Tobias Strobl is his Jorginho

and he has a similar situation to Kante

in Denis Zakaria, who is an absolute 1.91m BEAST of a DMF, but has adapted to the Kante role

But how do you think the H Bros would like it?

I could see Eden on LW, Thorgan on right, but dont think its in the cards. I think RM is where Eden ends up.:(

I would take Thorgan in a flash over Willian at either wing.

I really have no clue how we stack up next year. Far too many uncertainties atm. Like I always say, we have by far the most complicated situation atm in global football of any major club. I hate it.

If Thorgan knows what's good for him, he wouldn't come back to us, especially if Eden leaves. Otherwise, the lad is gonna under serious pressure with the endless comparisons with his brother.

lets use Thorgan as bait for Eden to stay here then hehe. The Hazard duo wreaking havoc in the league would be fun

Chelsea's buy-back clause for Thorgan Hazard explained as Liverpool & Spurs eye Bundesliga star

https://www.football.london/chelsea-fc/thorgan-hazard-chelsea-transfer-clause-15432901

We may well be hearing a lot more about Thorgan Hazard in the coming weeks with Liverpool reportedly set to launch a bid for the Borussia Monchengladbach ace.

According to reports, Jurgen Klopp wants to lure the player to Anfield next month and the league leaders are plotting a £31million move.

Linked with a move to Spurs as well, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Roma are also believed to be keen on securing the 25-year-old's signature.

Looking destined to leave his current club sooner rather than later going on his current form, Chelsea fans will no doubt want the Blues to re-sign him following his 2015 exit.

With the player even unsure if Chelsea have a clause to re-sign him, German publication Bild have now stated that Maurizio Sarri's side can indeed buy him back.

They claim that the FA Cup holders have a clause but it is only valid for the 2019 summer transfer window.

Scoring 14 goals in 25 appearances for club and country so far this season, Hazard is set to be hot property in 2019.

Chelsea won’t activate the clause in Thorgan Hazard’s contract to match bids [bild].

Dortmund want him for £38m. We could match it, bring in arguably the Bundlesliga’s best player this season and keep Eden happy.

What. Are. We. Doing.

Yes, grrrr

Chelsea give up on €40m clause for versatile winger

https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/01/chelsea-give-e40m-clause-versatile-winger/

German paper BILD have an interesting report this week, where they say that Chelsea have agreed to not use their “first option” clause on Thorgan Hazard.

The Blues sold Eden’s brother to Borussia Monchengladbach two summers ago, and like plenty of other cast-offs from our academy,  he’s found great success.

That’s lead to interest from Borussia Dortmund, who look set to sign the Belgian in the summer for around €40m according to that report.

There was one stumbling block to prevent Lucien Favre’s side having a clear run at him though – the first option clause Chelsea had which would allow the chance to match any bid accepted by Monchengladbach.

But that piece in BILD says that Maurizio Sarri’s side have agreed to give up their first option on Hazard as part of the deal to bring Christian Pulisic to the club from Dortmund. That means the yellow-blacks can be certain of replacing the Chelsea bound winger… with a former Chelsea winger.

only way I can be happy with this is IF Eden stays and we buy Lozano and one more RW like Suso or Pepe)

or

If Eden goes

we end up with

LW Pulisic (can play either wing)

LW Lozano (can play either wing)

RW Suso (or If the Malcom for Willian deal falls through then Nicolas Pepe (my first choice out of all five of these non-Eden wingers listed, although he is strictly a RW, as is Suso and Malcom) as starting RW, and Suso as back/up rotation instead of Malcom)

RW Malcom (IF the Willan deal goes through)
