Stingray 9,441
Regardless of Thorgan: great work from Bakkali. 17 year old belgian winger :-)What the hell was in our water?
Hamilton 2,120
The decision where to play took to long...Imo that's Thorgan's problem at the moment. He looked slow and heavy sometimes, some good actions from him last night but far from his best. And against this young very fast playing PSV he needed to be at his best to make a difference.Still as always worked his ass off, he will grow more this season but this kind of game came to soon for him unfortunately..It could be easy 8-0 yesterday, PSV missed some very big chances to demolish Zulte. The speed when they push trough is unbelievable, it's like when you press forward x4 on your digicoder when PSV has the ball.Bakkali what a talent, no surprise City were after him last year. He got a standing ovation, and he deserved it! Also Maher, great player. Bruma played a decent game to.Altough Zult lost i got an amusing evening @ Eindhoven with a decent game to watch. Hamilton 2,120
Thorgan is the new captain at Zulte. The club feels this is another step in his career and a sign that he's one of the most important players at the club. Stats 7,142
Good on him but tbh I think that is a crazy and stupid decision to make. He is 20, on loan and obviously not going to sign a permanent deal there. I can imagine a few players being unhappy about his appointment as captain. This is a link someone posted btw which supports the view about players being unhappy:http://www.demorgen.be/dm/nl/998/Voetbal/article/detail/1679731/2013/08/02/Thorgan-Hazard-wordt-kapitein-van-Zulte-Waregem.dhtmlReally surprised. If it is true I don't understand why we would set that as part of the conditions. Don't think Hazard needs to the burden of being captain. Quite shocking IMO. Yeah remarkable if that's true about Cfc's conditions.Lot of fans are not happy with the chairman who wanted to sell the club some months ago and now this, Zulte was one of the teams where everybody got his nose in the same direction and where you never heard something bad about one of the players or so.. Hamilton 2,120
Meanwhile the other players reacted and saying that Davy De Fauw is still the captain for them..Coach Dury didn't showed up for the pc today..So, not an easy situation for Thorgan imo.. Stingray 9,441
It is really weird if it was one of Chelsea's conditions to loan him out back to Zulte ... It appears it is making the group fall apart (apparantly that decision wa communicated just before the PSV game ...). Two players are threatening to leave. This is not good for Thorgan. I wonder whats the strategy behind it ... Do they want to toughen him up? Make him able to cope with pressure?
Bir_CFC 3,455
Why would Chelsea ask for this? Makes no sense. I don't buy that for one second. zolayes
CHOULO19 24,332
I find it highly unlikely that we asked them to make him captain. There must some issues behind the scenes at Zulte.

It is just in the article in the conditional sense 'it is supposed to have been part of the deal with Chelsea'. I have a feeling that story will unfold considering the strong reaction of the player group at Zulte.
