KRC Genk has Thorgan on top of theire transfer list for next season, and if i understand the news (rumour) correctly they would try to buy him from us..

I would love to see him at my favourite Belgian club (not permanant), but is it really a step forward? Probably loaning him to a smaller pl team would be better for him..

I think he can get a lower PL or championship loan which will be better than his current loan in zulte. Hes been called up to the belgium first team, so he must be doing things right in his loan. I think hes ready for that step up to 1 level higher.

a championship loan would actually be a step back from a top 3 side in Belgium. He needs at least a PL loan next season.

I agree that he should get a PL loan maybe to a newly promoted team, but i dont think championship would be a step back. With all due respect to the belgian teams, i think he would benefit of playing in england and get to know english football even if it is at a lower level.

I think he'd do well somewhere like Watford if they get promoted, Brighton if they (somehow) now manage to get promoted, Swansea but only if Michu gets sold, basically any passing-based team.

I know he's a lot more to the point and direct than Eden, more about making the simple pass than entertaining the crowd, which is why I feel he'd be better at a smaller team in the PL as they're likely to counter-attack more than the bigger teams when against opposition like United, Arsenal, City etc. which would put his directness to good effect but they're good enough to control possession vs. Stoke, Liverpool, West Brom and so-on.

For his future he has no idea, it's something the club and his manager will decide.

Talking in an intervieuw he's looking forward to the game on sunday.

Thorgan allready had a good week with his first cap for Belgium and a goal and assist in the midweek game against Club Bruges.

"It's allready a magic week for me. On sunday we will try to finish the job. We will try everything we can so Eden will shave his head. It will be hard to win on sunday. We want to be champions, so maybe we will be a bit dissapointed if we don't make it. Still our season was ver succesfull. We got nothing to lose, we allready archieved our goal by finishing in the top 3.

"Everything we win now is a huge bonus. I'm happy for the team and the club that they will play european football next year. Offcourse everyone wants to play in the CL. Anderlecht is the favourite and want to be champions in theire own stadium. We feel no pressure at all."

Swansea would be a good choice i think, read that lukaku may go there too. Not sure how reliable the info is.

Thorgan is more of a CM, Eden is way more direct from what I've seen.

Thorgan played mostly as a left attacking midfielder this season. He reminds me of De Bruyne in that role. Haven't seen him playing as a real CM, sometimes as a number 10 replacing Franck Berrier.

Must be doing excellently to have been called up to the Belgium squad, massive achievement. Plays in just over an hours time against Anderlecht for the title decider. If Zulte win, they gain automatic route to the group stages of the UCL next season.

This is a clip of his brilliant performance last week:
