It would be fantastic if Eden could get a nice two weeks rest before the real shit starts boiling up.

No news so far about that. All depends on how bad the injury is and how quickly it heals.

Belgium has 2 games. the 25th and the 28th but the one on the 28 th is just a friendly so i'd be very suprised if Hazard played that game.

He said: "Hazard in the last training felt a bit of a problem in his calf and for this reason I preferred not to risk him."

It remains to be seen whether Hazard joins up with the Belgium squad for their upcoming games against Greece and Russia.

I concur. He's only played for Lille before so I think it's fair to say this clubs means something to him. He's mentioned loving his life in London, has grabbed or kissed the badge more than a few times and has never expressed plans to leave the club. Every time they ask him about links abroad he says he's happy at Chelsea. I'm not saying he's a fan but he's obviously good at Chelsea (as long as the club remain competitive).

Hazard turned 26 in January. This is Hazard's fifth season at Chelsea. He's never leaving this summer so that's 17/18 confirmed. I find it hard to imagine him leaving at 27 after six seasons for Chelsea. But it's possible. If he doesn't leave at 28, he'll grow old at Chelsea.

5 seasons. How fast time flies...I remember all the rumours where he will go as if it was yesterday.

Oh god. We should have enough to beat Palace without him (hopefully we can at least have him on the bench for that) but we definitely need him back for City!

Up to two weeks, bet he's back for Palace.

I think Willian did a pretty fair job as his stand in V Stoke TBH but its hard for anyone to replace Eden when hes feeling it.

Our/His problem is that he needs to start looking for that switch that turns himself on when he/we need him.

You watch Eden when he comes out. If hes on you see the cheeky chappy, dancing, laughing thinking "I'm the dogs dangleys" and hes on fire. But then theres times he comes on with that the lights on but nobodys at home look.

Hes definitely got some personal doubts but why? Hes the main force of the leading team in the toughest league there is. His manager, team mates and supporters think hes made from Unicorn tusk and the sun shines from his arse. What more incentive, love, power does a player need to do his bollox every week.

Yet it's somehow some sort of imagined fallacy that Madrid will be targeting both? He has a lot of sense Costa, that he does.

Someone send Costa one of these essays debunking why Madrid would ever be interested etc. Don't forget to be verbally aggressive since you're obviously right.:P

There's a lot of speculation around Eden and it seems very serious this time. Too many, (and now reputable) sources reporting the Madrid interest and that he's interested. This could be the season we all thought will inevitably come. Remember his words "If I ever leave, it will be after winning the league".
