Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
I'm not sure where this requirement for him to score goals comes from? He's a creative player - I judge him on how he creates chances for othersYes I have been harsh on him in the past but this season he has stepped up mentally! Gone are the days of disinterest (which wound me up) - I like his career progression, now he has a handle on the 'mental toughness / winning desire' he will keep progressing.I think he'll end scoring more and more consistently as he matures - experience will give him the composure to know when to pass and when to shoot - at the minute it's still a little sporadic - but the best thing about that is that HE is getting into those positions.A look at both OSCAR and HAZARD under Mourinho will tell you what has been achieved in just one season! Give it another 2-3 seasons with MOURINHO mentoring these lads and we will have a very special team.My biggest complaint for years is that we have lost the winning mentality - it's being forged right here, right now - some players are stepping up, some aren't - that's life, but Eden and OSCAR are definitely stepping up!I think we all need to be realistic that this (scarily) isn't yet the finished article and could currently be around 75% complete - If he pushes on and keeps developing he could be unplayable in a few seasons.Costa is the goal man - let him take that pressure for now, let Eden focus on developing and continuing the good work so far...And next time you think about bashing him - ask yourself the question I asked myself..."would you rather have him on your team, or be facing him?" That should answer all further questions on the topic It stems from the fact he can get to almost any area on the pitch on his own. And having witnessed him get into great areas only to put it right into the keeper one thinks if he improves his finishing he should be amongst the goals regularly. smpl 3
then Ronaldo was average until 23 and after he was a beast lol
Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
When Ronaldo moved to united his goal scoring record was quite average1st season 6 from 402nd season 9 from 503rd season 12 from 47Yes he was a bit younger than Hazard at that time but looking at his goal ratio now proves the instinct for goal scoring can be learnt. That's not a very good comparison though. smpl 3
ok i understand now you got a portuguese flag , you defend so hardly Ronaldo because you are portuguese . lol
smpl 3
but i agree mate and everybody sees that , Ronaldo is far better than Hazard , he is one of the best player ever and hazard one of the best in this moment . That's a great difference
smpl 3
maybe to be one of the best ever he must win the world cup and he is shit everytime in this competition , i don't understand why because portuguese team is a great team
kellzfresh 7,229
Hazard is not ronaldo, he will never be. All he can improve is his shot power and finishing in front of the keeper. Hazard is more like robben and ribery, especially Ribery and that was enough to land him on the podium in the ballon'd'or awards. Hazard will get there earlier, but he won't score 30-40goals. johnnythefirst 1,076
He might not be as good as Ronaldo, but he's more fun to watch during a game.
Rom2013 446
ok i understand now you got a portuguese flag , you defend so hardly Ronaldo because you are portuguese . lolI'm not defending Crsitiano I'm saying the truth. Ronaldo don't need anyone to defend him...By the way the only 2 players that in the last 20 years were at the super star category earlier than Cristiano were Ronaldo and Messi. arguably they are the best 3 players in that period. It makes no sense to compare an 18 year old Cristiano with a 23 year old Hazard. Cristiano won the Ballon d'Or for the season 2007/2008, and in that season he was 22 and 23 years old. When you said that he was average at the age of 24... that's far from the truth. You can pick the numbers of super star players like Ronaldo and Messi at the age of Hazard and see that Hazard can't put numbers near those 2, but you can also check all over EUrope the numbers of other wingers this season and see that Hazard is doing something wrong. He is a great player, for me after Neymar the best young player in the world (many can desagree obviously but that's my opinion)... he is improving in many aspects but in others he needs to do a lot more. Rom2013 446
and if he goes to la liga he can score 30 or 40 goals ?I don't know. Alexis couldn't and right now he has 8 goals in the League. It's not only Crsitiano, Messi, Neymar and Bale.

Tchekitchek 37
It's funny when I look at sites like Goal.com or youtube videos etc... whenever there is mention of Hazard, it's usually followed by a few "lol" and "rofl" as if he wasn't taken seriously... I feel that people don't know Hazard, those who don't watch Chelsea that is.When confronted, they usually answer that he overdribbles, is selfish, can't pass etc... (like a Robinho/Ben Arfa type of player) which is absolutely wrong if they bothered to watch him play 5 minutes. I wonder how comes he is so little known or recognized outside Chelsea/Lille/Belgium fans. petre.ispirescu and ZOS
