Kostas 1,468
Here's a stat. 33% of Kalou's league goals have come in the last 15 minutes of the match.Any chance of finding how many of his goals were scored in games won by 3 or more?
capriccioso 2,545
Any chance of finding how many of his goals were scored in games won by 3 or more?Yeah, here's a list of goals that weren't the opener, equaliser or winner; or in general barely influenced the result:2nd goal in a 2-0 win vs Blackburn in October 20063rd goal in a 3-0 win vs Blackburn in January 20072nd goal in a 2-0 win vs Portsmouth, 3/073rd goal in a 4-1 win vs West Ham, 4/072nd goal in a 3-0 win vs Sheffield United, 3/072nd and 4th goals in a 4-0 win vs Hull, 9/075th goal in a 6-0 win vs Man City, 10/073rd goal in a 3-1 win vs Huddersfield, 2/083rd goal in a 3-0 win vs Olympiacos, 3/082nd goal in a 2-0 win vs Man City, 4/084th goal in a 4-0 win vs Portsmouth, 9/084th goal in a 4-1 win vs Cardiff, 2/106th goal in a 7-1 win vs Aston Villa, 3/103rd goal in an 8-0 win vs Wigan, 5/104th and 5th goals in a 6-0 win vs Wigan, 8/105th goal in a 5-0 win vs Genk, 10/112nd goal in a 3-0 win vs Newcastle, 12/11That works out at 17/60, or roughly 28%, and I'm being generous by including the 2nd goal in 2-0 wins, take them out and its only 14/60 that were truly useless. Also there's a problem with this data, what if some of the times we were 1-0 or 2-0 up and we were getting dominated and Kalou scored a goal that knocked the stuffing out of the opposition charge? And in a sense, none of those league goals from that list were truly useless in that they still at least boosted our goal difference. Also, he has 40 assists to his name but I wasn't able to find a list of those to determine which were useful and which weren't.To answer your specific question, though, 12 out of 60 or 20%.Interestingly, all of his goals in 2009 (about 10, I think) were 'useful' in that the result might have been different had he not scored. capriccioso 2,545
Is it confirmed he is leaving? Can't believe hes going and Malouda is staying..should be the other way roundThere's no sense to it whatsoever, as he is by several magnitudes better than Malouda and we can still get a transfer fee for him. Poor decision.Bosingwa leaving ahead of Ferreira is another similar decision, he's better than Paulo and Paulo could still fetch perhaps 800k- 1 million. All that winning experience must count for something.

manpe 10,861
Wonder what will be Malouda's role if he stays. With our new wingers he'd hardly get a sniff on Eva's freshly bum pressed Audi seat anyway. Is he content with rotting away, or will he open a translators' support group with Paulo? Lots of drama ahead...

manpe 10,861
All in all the Kalouda pair deserve respect. They always found their uses and there was even time when Malouda used to be decent enough to help our cause. Kalou's assist to Riise was also legendary. Kalou had his own kind of ambition and objective, to become the greatest benchie ever - always great to have players content with that role and even boasting about it. It's just that they should have been replaced much earlier, that's the club's fault. I think they know they aren't anymore the needed calibre, but for a long time they were practically the only choices and had nobody to compete with them, so they did what they were told, albeit a bit lazy as a consequence. Duppy Conqueror 1,536
if it wasn't for Drogba,Malouda would have been the most frustrating footballer of the Roman era to date...great for a bit, useless, then great again, back to useless..maybe both him and Drogba`s body language has somehow given out the wrong signs but there`s been so many times when he just doesn't even look interested in playing when he`s already on the field. Malouda,Drogba and Anelka were guilty of being like that at atleast one stage of the season, every season they played for us.i don't know why it happens with french footballers or rugby players for that matter..they are supremely gifted far more than English players in both sports but their attitude seems to always be the one thing that lets them down and holds them back.sell Malouda, loan him ,do whatever you want with him but get him the fuck away from Chelsea, Roman. he will only be an unwanted distraction and his play no longer makes him worthy of trying to deal with it.p.s. i know Drogba is african as he plays for Ivory Coast. but i count him as french in this due to him spending the majority of his young life there. EdenHazard 163
Shame if he goes as he's only 26, But don't really think he'll get alot of game time with the players we're about to sign. Marin, De Bruyne, Mata, Sturridge and Possibly Hulk and Hazard...Doubt he's really going to get alot of game time. With him being only 26, He should leave on a high and go enjoy a spell with another club!
