This is such a crap rule, players don't deserve to miss out on the final just because of yellows - you'd think UEFA would want full strength teams playing in their showpiece.

I agree, this is ruining finals and big events. They need to put a stop to it, it's also causing controversy in the games before because players don't want to tackle or get stuck in as they usually would in fear of getting a card.

We need to make a huge statement on the Ivanovic one we really do, and i'm talking about appealing but making a big deal out of it, because no one has made a deal of it. It was never a yellow.

I just rewatched the highlights you can see Meireles saying please ref please ref please ref when he knew he was about to get booked. I don't see why they can't be a bit more lenient or yellows wiped out for the final. Doesn't make sense.
