We should not get ahead of ourselves. Maatsen has been alright for Dortmund but not the second coming of Marcelo like some here make it out to be. 
also, 40m is quite a bit of cash for BVB. They will try to lowball us into another loan first before considering to pay up.  In fact it would be their transfer record

I had and have other preferred LBs but compared to CuCu andthe always injured Chilwell, Maatsen is superior (as long as Chilwell keeps getting hurt

plus fuck Poch always played Maatsen as a winger, which is fucked

as if we need MORE left footed wingers or attacking mids

we are a huge overload of lefties, especially with Kendry Paez coming in a little over a year from now

There were people thinking he was great and should of been a nailed on starter here because he had a good season for Burnley in the bloody Championship, now he’s scored a goal in the CL and its the same.

The same people seriously thought Man City wanted him too and that because of this, it meant Poch should be playing him every week 😂 He’s average. He may be good for a team like Dortmund but he’s not cut out for teams who are want to be at the elite level. Which is where we should be aspiring to be. 

Granted we are shite the now and have been for ages but I won’t be losing any sleep if we sell him.
