RoyalBlues 4,050
Do you think it was a bit harsh on Legia given that the player only played 3 minutes and the result was already beyond doubt?Or do you think it was Legia's fault for not checking?Depend on your point of view. Personally, I think it is harsh decision, but at the same time I don't understand how they could make that kind of mistake. Also Uefa and match official has to be blame too, they should check and remind Legia if there is suspended player in the team news. Replay for the 2nd leg would be more fair in my opinion. The Skipper 20,609
Shame, what is their job actually? Just as a witness and make a report if something wrong happened?Haha no, they're the governing body of European football, they set the general rules, regulate clubs with stuff like FFP, sanction and organise European competitions i.e. The CL or the Euros etc... The rules are clearly stated, and for a professional club like Legia it's embarrassing that they couldn't adhere to a simple rule like that. Even if it's only 3 mins, rules are rules. Must at least one official stand by in every european matches, if I'm not wrong. The Skipper
JoHo17 20
I agree that rules are rules but I do feel sorry for Legia. They totally outclassed a poor Celtic team.Is this case similar to the one concerning the Sunderland player? Different governing bodies/competitions have different penalties I guess. Yeah, all the UEFA official does is pretty much report back to UEFA what has happened in a match report I would imagine. I can imagine that he probably didn't know the player was suspended before hand though, whilst Legia definitely would've known. Either way, I don't think UEFA really have that much of an obligation to go as far as reminding a professional club about the rules.

Korea 734
James didnt play well today.Kroos spray the ball well, but hes a liability on the counter... Committed a few fouls and his speed was expose a bit without di maria on the team (I found it surprising that James was in charge of corners on both sides and even for fks it was ronaldo-james and bale-modric). Isco played a lot better in his limited time than James and both Bale and Cristiano played well...Sevilla definitely should of scored 1 at least....Di Maria, Khedira did not play at all today.... I can see a few first team guys moving the other direction for madrid...

Pizy 18,918
Just watching Ba here and thinking that he could still have done a decent job as a 2nd or 3rd option. Yet another situation that Torres ruins.Costa/Ba/Drogba is a nice enough strike force. Especially with Fabregas providing service.

CHOULO19 24,332
I remember him being linked strongly with United and their fans were wanking over him. That was after he and Llorente raped them in the EL in 2012. Since then the hype around him and that whole Bilbao team (bar Llorente) have gone completely down. Haven't heard of him in a long while until he scored against Napoli tonight.
