BlueLion sees nothing wrong with personal & recreational marijuana use. Yet wants us to get hold of it through dealers illegally lmao, rather than a nice shop so it can be safely regulated, like in the netherlands.

Incorrect on so many levels.

1 - I see plenty of things wrong with smoking marijuana. Not because of the mental or physical health implications, but because of what Kostas so excellent summarises here:

In the same way the video (which I'm watching right now) is a sad reflection on the world. When people (who appear to be no strangers to the intellectual processes that define our species) need to chemically alter their cognitive state to gain insight on existential issues you know we fucked up so bad there's hardly any coming back.

2 - where and when did I even say I want people to be able to get hold of weed through illegal means?

3 - the Netherlands is a freak example. It is the only country in the world where things are relegated thus, because of its left-wing nigh-radicalism. Holland is a freely-regulated state with an incredibly liberal and laid-back government, using it as an example in a world where conservatism rules the roost is not the best of case studies in my opinion.

Alcohol is just as bad. My cousin went through the worst shit I have ever seen from smoking dope. No history in my family of any mental problems in regards to drugs but somehow he ended up with schizophrenia from marijuana. Worst 8 years of my familes lives.

It will be appealed, tourists won't be banned until 2013/15. The rest of Holland and 'Amsterdam' are two different things anyway, Amsterdam stands alone when it comes to policy, the council won't implement it.

Also, the government has fallen, new elections may be just around the corner.
