If we dont change our manager soon we will be a team like l'pool are now fighting for CL places. We need someone who will make the team their own, who has the tactical know-how and isnt afraid to drop big names.

Ten-Cate and Clarke would be the obvious choice, but could be a little hard after the alleged bust up he and JT had. I can also see quite a lot of our players leaving.

The future does not look good if Grant stays. I cant believe it's taken just the CC Final to open eyes to the manager he actually is.

Er, we already are..

Ten Cate is starting to look like just another mistake of many. Things havent improved since he arrived and if he cant take the captain pointing it out then its not gonna work long term

Well people have been far too easy on Grant all season imo just because we've managed to stay around 3rd spot but tbh my mother couldve achieved the same with that squad. The fact is, if you look back at the results and how we've actually played under Grant's management, it aint pretty. Now the wheels are well and truly coming off his little bandwagon, lets see his reaction - because Ive got a feeling we'll be struggling like hell between now and May if he stays.

I am already repeating myself, but before anyone does go the way of "I told you so", remember that I gave Grant a chance in my eyes only because it was obvious he wasn't going anywhere anyway. I was as unhappy with his appointment as anyone else on here.

Time for him to go for sure, but we're not gonna get a decent replacement until the summer. Sack him now, install Clarke or Ten Cate as caretaker manager and make a proper appointment when a manager becomes available or the summer.

I echo these sentiments. With Henk ten Cate as assistant manager, it seems all the more likely Rijkaard will come in the Summer, bring Sir Goof with him. Though Slaven Bilic is my choice.

Y'know what? I mustve been half asleep or something when I posted that. Firstly, I dont actually remember posting that and secondly, its a terrible idea, my mother knows sod all about football............then again.... :lol:

I'm not so sure we should be speculating yet as Grant hasn't been given a chance. We can't keep chopping and changing managers as the likes of Newcastle do. I'd say we look at the situation at the end of the season - if we win sod all then questions should be asked but not yet.

You are taking the piss surely? Just why should we give Grant a chance?, what did he do to merit the job in the first place?
