I felt he was too left out. Players should celebrate with him and he just stood behind their backs.

He was tossed up into the air quite a few times. The guys's just more laid-back, when compared to Hiddink or Ancellotti. Same goes for Mata and Torres.

We've still not seen him actually change a game. His tactics from the start are pretty good. Against barca they were exceptional. But he's never really adapted things during games.

I agree with the guy who said he isn't the right person to take us into our transitional season. Roberto's achievements this season are very very good indeed.

However I would contribute most of them to his man management skills. He got the likes of Drogba, Lampard, Cole and co. to WAKE UP.

I don't know how effectively we can judge his results.

It would be hard not to give him the job but it would be fucking painful if roman sacked him next season

This is the part I am unsure about RDM... he didn't make good chances to wrap the game.

The defeat aganist newcastle also tell us something....

but nonetheless, there was nothing he could have done since our bench is not exactly that awesome too. even though i suggested essien into RB, he might not be that good as well.

And btw im not hating on him for no reason. I'd be pretty damn pleased if he got the job. But I'm just not getting carried away because there are still a thousand questions to be asked about this team. About 7-8 key players need to leave/become squad players. That's a major transition which also means new players coming in who don't know Roberto. How will he handle all of that?

I think the best solution for this would be to give him a one year contract. Nothing more at first. But we need to think about all the managers that are potentially available.

The thing is there isn't much he could have done, we were already set up perfectly for a counter attack which could have worked out in our favour with Liverpool attacking. He made the changes at the right time as Liverpool still had to be wary of us on the break, if he goes and makes a defensive substitute at 20 minutes, then what? We just sit back for 20 minutes even eeper than we were before and invite more pressure. If we had somebody on the bench who was good at retaining the ball and wasn't subbed on then i would have agreed with you, but Meireles and Essien both don't keep the ball as well as Lampard and Mikel

Management is about many things but, whether team talks, training or tactics, it is about judgement. The Italian's has been impeccable, as Chelsea's goals illustrated. Every participant in both strikes owed something to Di Matteo. They have been recalled, relocated and rejuvenated by him. They have responded to him.

It's important to be a little more objective here when we criticise RDM. It's not enough to say he couldn't stem Liverpool's second half tide without suggesting what he could have done about it. We must not forget that regardless of the names that populate the squad sheet, this is a limited team that has overachieved in many respects.

Since when has any managers has been good for transition at this club????

When you got the board doing almost all the transfer dealing.

So I think people should get that nonsense out of their heads.

What boils down to this club is weather the manager can bring out the best with that which he is giving.

And this Chelsea is the worst team in the Roman era. THE WORST!!!!!!!!

And yet we are in the CL final and won a FA Cup.

I say that's much better then any past managers in a long time.

He's doing wonders with a pretty crap squad that he couldn't change. Imagine what he could do when he can build the team he wants.

We all know there are ageing players and we have Malouda, Kalou, Bosingwa and Meireles. He's actually managed to use them and still keep winning. I think he's done a remarkable job. Don't agree with most of his substitutions or line ups but it's worked so can't diss.

I do worry about RDM's ability to "rebuild" the squad, but perhaps the evidence is there that a rebuild isn't necessary as much an evolution?

what makes u think RDM will do great in long FULL TRANSITION SEASON?? put in someone who has greater experience and its less of a risk is it not??

We tried with avb, ancelotti, ranieri,...no one brought us cl!

its time to change thinking and give rdm a job. he at least fully respects chelsea, players and knows philosophy!

and if he makes mistake or two, well he is young and could become our saf.

It's not just about the identification and signing of players. The manager has to change set-ups, tactics etc with these new arrivals and also his man-management style has to adapt. Im not saying he cannot do it. Just that it's a question mark.

under rdm, i have felling we dont realy need that much rebuild of team. the current players are doing well, im sure we would be top 3 if rdm was in charge whole season. we won fa and possibly cl, that makes clear rdm maybe needs one or two wingers, some cm and rb. nothing else.

if we go afer another manager, the newbie will have no clue how to use torres, drigba, lamps, cole, mikel,...and we will need 10 new players to come. it is obvious to keep rdm, because he made us a goood team, with no new players!

i dont see any other mnager to bring us that far with this team.
