DavidEU 2,023
Not unexpected but would have liked to see Bamford be our 3rd choice ST for the upcoming season. Oh well. He'd barely get a kick if he stayed here as back up to Costa and Torres or Lukaku. The odd 20 minutes on a rare occasion he's on the bench.I just hope we're not rushing him with a PL loan. I honestly would have preferred he spends a season in the championship at a team that is guaranteed to play him as a starter. This is my gutt instinct too. A full year at Derby, where don't forget he wasn't an automatic starter every game there, would be far more beneficial to him than being on the bench or perhaps starting a team where he barely sees the ball and loses most weeks. Eidur the Spider 4,515
Mourinho is keen to see Bamford working alongside Costa & Torres but plans to loan him to continue his development #CFC (Evening Standard)Bamford made a big impression among #CFC coaching staff and is considered a genuine prospect for the first team in future (Evening Standard)QPR keen on luring Patrick Bamford from Stamford Bridge [on loan] #CFC #QPRFC (Evening Standard)Chuffed for the kid that he's made a good impression! Hopefully he can be our next breakout star. Don't send him to QPR though, Rio 'tweeting camelface' Ferdinand will infect him with his twat-like tendencies. The only place to be 11,313
He's very good on the ball. If we lost Lukaku then I think this guy could very well benefit because he has a wonderful maturity and dedication to his game.

Special Juan 28,141
Just bumped into Craig Hignett who is now part of the boro management team and he said they are close to agreeing a loan deal for Bamford.
Bacika 188
He is.no worse than Lukaku..we didn't pay him 15 mil so there is no hype around him I love his.first touch, tehnique, movements..just clasical striker. Hope to see him in the first team next year...if we didn't get drogba back he would be our third striker...in my opinion..

Bamford has performed on loan in L1 and the Championship. Lukaku has got into double figures in the prem for 2 seasons running. You see the difference? The PL is much more competitive than the Championship. You can't also base much on friendlies because even last season Lukaku was our top scorer in friendlies iirc. I like Bamford but let's not jump to conclusions yet because he is not in the same league as Lukaku currently and has not been tested in the PL which is much more difficult. If Torres scored all our penalty last season he would be double figure too but that wouldn't make him better than he is.

BleedsBlue 1,549
He needs to remain patient. Torres will leave in 2 years and so its imperative that he has 2 good loan spells. If we can get rid of Torres before that then I am sure we'll see more of him soon.
didierforever 7,349
i mean i myself would love to see bamford make it big here!!! but someone who has played in the league1 and championship in the last 2 seasons and has still been outscored by lukaku (33 to 29) while lukaku played for wba which finished 8th in the PL and everton that finished 5th in PL and were within touching distance of CL spot is been said to be not as good!!! i mean seriously there is something wrong going on here!!! Vybz Kartel 1,613
Another one we are going to ruin because of a stupid loan, just like Chalobah last season his past the championship level and he needs a EPL loan now otherwise his career will stagnate just like every other prospect in the last 8 years has done

Muzchap 8,966
please no,,his level is not in championship again. only PL will improved him...The Championship is a tough place - there's immense competition and every game is a battle - it's hard to shine in the Championship - so I don't mind him developing there for a season. If he can tough it out there and still score. He will have a future in the EPL...

While i watched only 3-4 matches of him and other highlights i can say his passing is poor and same can be said about his defensive skills. He can't create a goal on his own even if his life depends on it and if he does it rarely happens. Lately he got annoying outside of the field also in my opinion. As a little edit to my post after i checked your last reply, no he doesn't have talent to become one of the best and even 40% serious Balotelli would be better than him. Bamford on the otherside if given proper training for development will be one of the best.
